Qantas launches new Business class Global Explorer

New Business Class Global Explorer Fare 29 May 2014


Effective for sale and travel from 1 June 2014, Qantas will introduce a new oneworld fare product into its Global Explorer fare offering.


The new Business Class Global Explorer Fare (IGLOB26) is available for tickets issued in Australia, with fares available from $10,499 and includes travel on all oneworld carriers, together with Alaska Airlines, Aer Lingus, Fiji Airways and West Jet.

Up until this release Business class was Tier 3 only, this is a Tier 1 product , 26000 miles.

Ah, I see. Thanks. The GLOBs are more useful for partner airlines vs Oneworld members, but ex-AU still very pricey.

WestJet? That would be a welcome addition (I think its new?) wrt to schedules on Global Explorer for those wanting to go via or across Canada.

But I don't think WestJet has business class? ( "! Your 4 1/2 hour flight from Vancouver to Toronto will be in Economy")

This has been in the xGLOBnn rules since May 1.
