Qantas international Economy Class meals

The snack bags ate back? They are certainly needed on all flights over 10 hours at least....
They are pre set on certain flights, but not back in the sense of when they were handed out after the first service. I believe it is only DFW and SCL.

Has anyone seen a kids meal on a long haul flight recently? I'm curious to know what they get, because the offering on the CHC flight was abysmal.

Kung Pao chicken on QF1 last MondayIMG_1163.jpeg

Really enjoyed this. The chicken was nice and tasty, the rice delicious, and the garlic bread was amazing

Chicken rice on QF292 last night.

While it has nothing on the Singapore Hawker Centres, a solid meal all up. I had already downed (and loved) the garlic bread, and the cake was nice and moist.

Why is the only separation from our food and a filthy tray table (cleaned once per CEO term) a thin paper napkin?

Why can’t we have a plate and a tray?

QF127 SYD-HKG, 10.15am departure

Before lunch we got a choice of drinks and a snack.

Three lunch choices - menu was available on the IFE:

They'd run out of the chicken before getting to my row so I had the tofu, which was nice.

A flight attendant came around with a snack basket during the middle of the flight containing cookies and soy crisps, and there were a few water runs.

The two dinner choices 1:45 before landing were beef with black bean sauce & rice or ravioli. I had the ravioli which was also pretty good.

It wasn't at exactly the same time, but a different flight attendant came through the aisle with ice creams about three minutes after I got the main course.
I find it's usually too frozen anyway?

Identical economy service on yesterday’s QF29. I had the Kung Pow Chicken and it wasn’t bad at all. Had a decent kick to it.

I also had the ravioli. For comparison…

They came around with ice creams after the mains had all been collected (which seemed sensible), but it’s fair to say they’d been stored for a decade in liquid nitrogen. Of course I’d prefer frozen to liquified, but there’s frozen and then there’s arctic glacier!!! 🥶

Overall service on QF29 was very good - multiple passes for snacks/water throughout the flight and efficient meals services. I requested a coffee and water a bit before dinner and the crew returned with both plus a TimTam (“…because coffee is always better with one.” ;)).
