Recently travelled PER to BNE in a (new?) A330 and watched an episode or two of a TV series/serial which was in the comedy section - set in some sort of marketing agency which had a defence contract. Does anyone know the name of the series ?? - its driving me nuts and I want to view some more

The link here is for domestic television - maybe one of the descriptions will match?

Domestic Inflight Entertainment | Qantas

(there are other links to Qstreaming as well which you might like to explore if the above doesn't turn up any results)

Maybe this?

Utopia : ABC TV

Utopia. A satire about the difficult process of taking grand, uncosted, inadequately planned, fundamentally flawed schemes - and passing them off as "Nation Building".

It may have been 'House of Lies' (A subversive, scathing look at a self-loathing management consultant from a top-tier firm).

We don't have any comedies particularly set in a marketing agency. Otherwise there is also '30 Rock' and 'The IT Crowd,' or 'Suits' in Drama category.

Hope this helps. :)

I watched it on a SYD-MEL flight last week. I think you are indeed remembering house of lies. They're showing Season 2 at the moment....it's probably worth having a look at Season 1 as well.

The TV series is based on a book by the same name - http://www.amazon.com/House-Lies-Management-Consultants-Steal/dp/B001QFY1SA

The author and main character in the series (Marty Kihn) was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton back in the day.

Not exactly an accurate picture of management consulting.....but very entertaining nonetheless!
