Has anyone else noticed that the Tax Invoice for hotels booked through the Qantas site no longer state "where you are staying" or the dates.

They used to look like this:

Now the last booking has this:

How are you supposed to hand in to your place of work, a "tax invoice" that does not give details of what you have purchased?

Not an accountant, so can this piece of paper really be called a tax invoice without these details?

Solution
I am reasonably confident the hotel must provide you an invoice, and it will show the amount you paid (not what qantas got charged) @madrooster, plus of course any incidentals (which is the reason why I would occasionally request an invoice). This is based on past experience on hotels.com which uses expedia under the hood, and with 4* hotels. YMMV etc...

For hotels that collect the payment from you directly, yes, that is correct procedure to invoice you for everything (room + incidentals).

For hotels where you pre-pay to Qantas, the hotel would only invoice you for incidentals. Qantas would invoice you for the room. It's incorrect for a property to provide an invoice to you for the room where you've prepaid to Qantas -...
Could it be that Qantas reissue the invoice once you stayed at the place you booked? Maybe preventing some confusion whaen altering or canceling a booking?
If this is really the new invoice, and thats not enough for your employer, you could always ask an invoice at checkout, or request an invoice. Last resort is stat dec I guess?

Usually the property would be billing HooRoo less than what you pay Qantas so that wouldn't work. As the invoice has a lower rate than what you'd pay, the property may also refuse to give it to you.

Hubby was able to get Qantas to change the last one, but it took 4 attempts for them to get it right.
In some weeks he can have 4 different hotels, so this really is an inconvenient change.
I did intend to keep an eye on this to see if it changed at all from day of booking to after stay.

Yes, let us know @Bindibuys I base my hypothesis on past experience with hotels.com, I think (not fully sure) that a while back they would issue the invoice only after the booking has started (or ended)

It's incorrect for a property to provide an invoice to you for the room where you've prepaid to Qantas - they are essentially double billing and they would be remitting double the tax.

My bad, Indeed I often do not prepay, thanks for clarifying.
