Tend to agree, but I do feel something has come from this. I for one have learned something!! :D
 
I'm still willing to give the the OP the benefit of the doubt.
If he was indeed focused on looking for the fees, then maybe plausible that he just kept clicking forward to the point of no return.
 
If new to bookings mistakes happen...but how did they charge you ?
I havnt booked a no payment fare , do you still need to put in a credit card ?
Yes how do they charge you if you have not paid for it and they have none of your credit details
 
When you book you get an email usually within 30 minutes telling you the booking details.

One of my biggest fears when using $1000 gift vouchers was making sure I double checked and triple checked each flight to make sure I made no mistakes.

With a revenue booking you have the buffer of the payment screen appearing before booking confirmation. With gift vouchers that screen is skipped and it goes straight to booking confirmation and by then it's too late.

I think same thing happens with an all points booking. You think there'd be another screen to confirm and then you realise you've gone too far.
