Hi folks - I just made the switch to Qantas Health Insurance and thought I would update the latest offers below. Plus add that I did make a comparison to my previous AHM fund a while back and there was a reasonable price increase to shift to Qantas. But just recently I did find there was really not a major difference (in fact better coverage on a more basic package than I had in some areas). Anyway - will leave all to determine if their circumstances suit the Qantas offering.

Refer a friend to Qantas Health Insurance, and if they take out combined Hospital and Extras cover, you could both earn 5,000 Qantas Points.*

Just find your unique referral code by following the instructions below, and then send it to your friends, for them to use when they sign up online or by calling us on 13 49 60.

Once your friend has held combined Hospital and Extras cover continuously for 60 days, you’ll each have 5,000 Qantas Points credited to your QFF account.

Interesting; so it excludes the 140k promos but this would still be helpful if you sign up at another time (such as now) it seems. Thanks for sharing

The other option with HCF is that they participate with a number of private and public sector entities to offer 10% discounts, as well as special upgraded policies. For example I’m getting ‘silver hospital plus’ for the same price as the standard advertised ‘silver hospital’ policy, plus a further 10% off. While some of the points options can be appealing across the various health providers, i haven’t found one that comes close to the corporate deals.

HCF has previously advised that the corporate rate ‘stays’ with you even if you leave the company. But of course worth checking.
