Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

My membership year ended last night and I achieved green tier in my last membership year which included taking the quiz in July. I’m in a new membership year now and all leafs are white and I want to complete another quiz to achieve green tier again before Dec 8th but the quiz isn’t showing in the wellbeing app. Everything in my Qantas app has refreshed for the new membership year
You cant redo the quiz, they just give you that leaf every year (give it time).

It’s still August for IT systems till 10am AEST. Even then it might not get added immediately.

I wouldn’t be rushing to lock in any green activity till at least this afternoon imo if your membership year starts today.

Hi there, sorry to be the bearer of bad news… my PC took til July 22 to email me vouchers (July 1 new year) :(
Pretty sure mine were showing in the portal a few days after status year rollover.

But the email similarly arrived about 22 Aug.

My 2 complimentary lounge invitations arrived today but the vouchers are taking their sweet time. Was hoping to use the $50 hotel voucher to book Ovolo Melbourne South Yarra while the 6x points promotion is on.

My new membership year started yesterday; I'm gonna give GT one more crack!

Got the 1st leaf for free, courtesy of an historic sustainability survey. Just used an expiring PC+ wine voucher to order a bottle of the very tasty Four Pillars Modern Australian Gin + a few dollars extra (PC+ discount and free shipping meant just $6 to pay). Donation made to the Great Barrier Reef foundation using a few thousand points. That's 3 of 5 leaves sorted.

I'll figure out the cheapest way to offset a flight for leaf number 4.

For leaf number 5, I'm already a Qantas Red Energy customer, and was planning on switching for a minimum term to the Qantas Red Saver with Green Energy to get that leaf. I'm billed monthly. Can anyone confirm I can do this for just a month (or until first billing + QF credited), or is it likely to take longer? I don't think I can change online unless it's to take advantage of a lower rate offer.

Cheers,
Matt.

For red energy, I was in your situation, made a call, they switched me to the green one (ot s more like an addon). A few weeks after the next bill I got the leaf. Removing the addon should work too, probably via the phone.

Thank you! Is there much difference in cost? My wife would probably feel better about being on a 'green energy' plan anyway... but only if she doesn't notice the cost difference :D

Is the list of eco-accredited hotels (https://www.qantas.com/hotels/campaigns/ecoaccredited-hotels) an exhaustive list of hotels that will count to the green leaf?

I'm looking at Alto Hotel on Bourke Melbourne CBD (https://www.qantas.com/hotels/properties/407) which is not on the page above, but has a list of green accreditations under About this property.

The page also lists Ibis Styles Brisbane CBD which has no accreditation shown under the About this property, but the page doesnt list Ibis Styles in Melbourne CBD.

Has anyone booked a hotel not on the list but is a verified hotel and gotten their green leaf?

I know this does not answer your question but personally I would avoid anything which is ambiguous.

According to the terms, that is the definitive list

Qantas Frequent Flyer members must stay at eligible Eco-Accredited Hotels, as indicated on the Qantas Green Tier website, and book through Qantas Hotels, for the activity to be eligible towards achieving Green Tier. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be added to your booking for the hotel stay to count towards your Green Tier activity. View the full list of properties recognised by Green Tier your stay will be recognised as a Green Tier activity four days after checkout.

End of next week will be 8 weeks since check out and still no green leaf.
Will chase up soon for leaf number 4.
That will just leave the donation to go sometime in November for the last leaf.
Will be choosing the 50SC in my new membership year starting 1st Feb.
50SC + 100SC rollover for Points club+ will be a good start to attaining WP next year.

Has anyone had recent experience successfully retrospectively applying for an offset with points and:
1. Actually had the points deducted, and
2. Received a leaf?

A few weeks ago I had tried to add an offset to a future SYD-MEL flight. I think it was something like 190pts. I had very low expectations that it would register but thought I should get one in the system and maybe race to do one last GT in my new member year.

Anyway, the points still haven’t been deducted. There was no email acknowledging the request but it does show in MMB that it was requested.

The flight’s next month.

I had one successfully processed in May. Received the email and points were deducted quickly, and the leaf received maybe a day later.
