Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Hi all
I have achieved 4 leaves in green tier namely lifestyle, shopping, learning and give back.
This leaves either flying or travelling for my final leaf.
Travelling is out as the eco-accredited hotels are expensive so that just leaves flying.
I have no immediate plans to fly. Is there a ground flight i.e. a railway journey that is cheap and bookable on the qantas website that would get me my final leaf?

Thanks Peter
PS I wish Qantas would provide more ways to accrue leaves.

No, but you don’t have to fly anytime soon. Even a flight in 12mths can earn a leaf in about 48 hrs after booking. Just make sure you pay the offset in cash (ie using a card not points) at the same time as booking the base flight.

A short oneway domestic hop will suffice. The offset is about $4.

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

Looks like the FURTHER20 has been removed or not working for charities anymore.. Can someone crosscheck this if possible please? :)

My year has just reset. I have looked at the options for renewing Green Tier and I’m afraid this year will be the first time I won’t complete it. I do not travel domestically - so I will not be able to get a sustainable hotel - and I do not purchase alcohol. So I’m out on at least two leaves, even if I did feel like spending money on recycling what my council already recycles for free (which I obviously don’t).

I'm in a similar situation. Will be debating the merits of a green hotel vs alcohol to be given away or disposed.

I enjoy flying, and likewise unless Green Tier leave options improve I think I’ll do the flying needed to keep WP rather than retain Green Tier.

My issue is the green hotel or adding the green offset to my red energy account - feel like this is the hardest year so far for me to get all 5 leaves

Ever since they got rid of the option to offset household emissions, I have not bothered with green tier. It's just too troublesome to get the 5th leaf now.

I thought it'd be tricky too but the recycling option has (so far at least) been fairly straightforward. It's worth checking out if that's what your fifth leaf would be.

Being in Tassie and not a home owner makes Green Tier a bit more tricky - no Red Energy, no Recycle Smart - which is why I haven't looked too closely at Green Tier in the past.

Flying - I can do - DPO-MEL shouldn't cost the bank
Travelling - will have to do
Lifestyle - no can do
Shopping - apparently I've done that
Learning - can do
Charities - will have to do

Only looking at it this year as it has been a much leaner year for flying and I want to retain WP if possible.
