Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

I purchased a single bottle of wine to get the last green leaf. Chose the 10k points, but not showing yet.
Honestly how hard is it to get these things right & prompt?
Perhaps you need to go back and check your monthly points update email to work out if "invisibly" added.

Its a PITA.

Has anyone yet:
  • unlocked green,
  • Waited to their next membership year to redeem a benefit,
  • Selected the 50 SCS (did they get backdated?), And
  • Is green teir reset and available to earn again in the new membership year?

Anyone got any tips for following up on offsets not going through more than a week post flight? Stuck on 3 leafs (last is the 'Offset lifestlyle') and will be a bees **** from WP after the 50 points but don't particularly want to go through the hassles of a phone call to have it pushed through.

in my experience the offsets come through after purchasing and didn't require taking the flight

I'm also waiting for an offset leaf. It took Qantas about 3 or 4 days to actually deduct the points for the offset (it was sitting on "Requested") and has been about 3 days since then. I will give them another week, my anniversary is end of June so not particularly rushed.

It took me about 2 weeks after purchasing the carbon with cash for the leaf to appear on my account.

Are you returning to the "house and car" offset? We are talking about the flight offset which I think can only be purchased with points?

I'm referring to the flight carbon you can purchase to gain a leaf.

My final leaf still hasn't appeared (purchased 21 March, flown 25 April, so clearly needs manual intervention) but it's now so close to being with the 3 months that would allow me to get the status credits in my next year that I'll just wait until then.

How? When I click "offset this trip" under my bookings, I get a prompt that only allows payment with points and no way to change.

You can buy carbon for your flight during booking. The buying carbon after the fact is a new feature, and is likely why only paying by points for carbon is the only supported option.

Not if it's an award booking, AFAIK. It's also not an option on bookings made through a corporate/online TA.

You can book the carbon offset in dollars even for an award booking. The option appears on the final screen where you confirm payment - but it is not easy to spot. I'm sure I posted about it upthread.

I doubt you can do this for corporate bookings unless you are the corporate travel clerk.

Has anyone cancelled their flight with the carbon offset? What are the chances of losing my green tier status?

I canceled mine in my previous membership year, after getting the leaf, but before completing the green status, and choosing my reward. So far so good.
