Side note, I got there flying back from SIN as the pandemic heated up, as you can see from my "Since Mar 2020"... didn't think my flying would nose dive so much after! Good for the environment though ;)

Second side note, unsure these days if I want to claim the 50SC and aim to re-qual WP (currently on 560/membership year just began) or simply pare things back and eventually fall onto LTG... therefore, take the 10k points. Does the 10k points count for Points Club/Plus?

Should do. Data point: the 2500 bonus points you get when you reach 250000 points in the Points Club also count towards the PC total.
 
Some here are already green and picked their reward.
I thought reward picking option would appear within 24 hours, but upon checking the t&cs, it seems like is could take up to 21 days. Is that new?

"The option to select a reward will appear in My Account 21 days after the member has achieved Green tier"

EDIT: This is new, the previous version stated 24 hours. Can't see a legit reason to wait 21 days for this, my guess is that there is some low priority IT glitch somewhere in the process that will be fixed in the coming weeks. Green Tier launch day was the 9, 21 days later is March Anniversary members, could be the latest day to get it fixed before having more problems. Maybe the reward picker is not compatible with all browser, or maybe a back-end issue. Would be interesting to see if anyone manage to access the reward picker at the moment.

I'm curious if filling up with petrol at a BP station would help you earn QF Green Status? After all, their logo is Green, and QF already lets you earn and redeem QF points when fuelling up at a BP station:

It seems the AFF profile system was developed in a simpler time, when there was a straight-forward linear path from Nobody to Platinum 1. The one-dimensional drop-down selection box doesn't really accommodate the various "add-ons" that have arisen over the years, such as Lifetime status, Points Club and now Green Tier.

So someone could be Platinum and Lifetime Silver and Points Club Plus and Green Tier - but there's no way flagging this in the system, other than using the "About You" section to record one's accomplishments.

Me too! The app even prompted me to claim my reward but when you click on the button it takes me to My Account where no choice option exists. It took less than 24 hours after doing all 5 activities for the green tier to be achieved.

Total outlay was:
3,200 points (donation) +
130 points (climate positive delivery) +
$0.73 (carbon offset) +
$15 (TAS offset)

Thank you for the advice on this thread.
 
If there isnt a new survey each year it will be harder for many to requalify given the limited and expensive hotel options.

They also need a search feature for green hotels, in the regular QF hotel search.

Unsure if this was already discussed on the thread, but a heads up for those interested in achieving Green status to get the 50 status credit bonus from the T&Cs:
The choice of 10,000 Qantas Points or 50 Status Credits or three tonnes of Carbon offset must be made within 90 days of achieving Green tier status. Limit of one reward per individual per Membership Year.

Hence if you've already (re)qualified for your status this program year, it is advisable to consider achieving green status around 30 days out from when your program year ends. In that way you can redeem your 50 status credit bonus for the new program year. Ideally, you can even layer these bonus status credits so that you can in effect earn 100 status credits for your new program year, earning the Green status just before the current program year ends for you and activating those credits in the new program year, then achieving Green again in the new program year and activating the bonus credits there right away.

One question I have is whether these bonus status credits will count towards the accumulation of lifetime status on QF.

I changed my mind and decided to pull the trigger on a new booking in case it takes longer for the rewards to show up. Needed to do this by end of April. I have now achieved Green Tier but the reward options do not show up immediately for me. Tried desktop, tablet and the Qantas app so far.

Guess I am in the same boat.
 
Got my 5/5 leaves. Status updated within 24h of purchasing carbon offset for a flight, rather than the 7 days claimed.

I booked my offset flight on the afternoon of Day 1 and the leaf showed up overnight between Days 2 and 3. Still no means to select my reward - so I join the long wait with many others...

Seems like a bit of effort for a net gain of about 7,000 points.
 
What's the cheapest (points + fees) reward booking available on QF atm?
