Posting of my pleasant surprise to receive QANTAS FF points on my Enrich rewards booking. Last year had booked a one way KL to Brisbane reward booking in J on MH.

As MH stopped flying to BNE my flight was changed to Sydney with QANTAS from Sydney to Brisbane also in J.

The flight was last Thursday and upon checking my QF account yesterday was surprised to see I was credited with 1600 points for a flexible business flight! Not sure if others have experienced this who were on MH bookings to Brisbane who now have to fly via Sydney or Melbourne.

Great outcome, although I probably wouldn't be posting this on a public forum if I were you ;)

nothing wrong with that. You booked an award flight and MH had to rebook you. They can't force QF to release award flights so had to book you into a revenue class, so therefore you get points. Just lucky because of the cancellation of the MH flights.
Has happened to me before - award flight cancelled and put on revenue class flight and got points.

Actually, the fare that was booked clearly stated that there was no earning. Earning can be restricted even on revenue fares. It is not prudent to crow in public about getting points when you're not supposed to earn.
