Yesterday I received an email from qantasff@qantas.loyalty.com with the title "Fly to Sydney, get 50% more Status Credits"

I have a few questions as I have never participated in a bonus SC promotion before.

1. I was looking at the "12 Days of Christmas Sale" SYD-AKL return for less than $1000. Upon seeing the bonus SC promotion I immediately closed all my booking tabs, registered for the bonus SC promotion and booked SYD-AKL Return flights on the page that linked from the "register and book for promotion." The flights that I booked were within the period of the bonus SC promotion.

a. Is it normal to receive an email from QF loyalty stating that your registration for the promotion was successful? (I didn't receive one.)

b. As this airfare is part of the "12 Days of Christmas Promotion," Is it likely that I will qualify for bonus SC's?

c. I also have some upcoming MEL-SYD return flights that I need to book (During the bonus SC period) but since I haven't received confirmation of registration, I might hold off until I get a few replies....

d. Since the promotion was titled "Fly to Sydney and receive 50% more SC's," would you assume that I would receive 50% more SC's ONLY on Flights that are INBOUND to Sydney? IE Yes for MEL-SYD but No for SYD-MEL

Thanking you all so very much in advance!

For DSC yes however it's also common for the emails to not come through. I don't have first hand experience with the 50% offers. There's no harm in registering a couple of times, and taking a screenshot of the registration confirmation page including the date and time on your start/menu bar.

b. As this airfare is part of the "12 Days of Christmas Promotion," Is it likely that I will qualify for bonus SC's?
Yes, assuming there aren't any clauses in the 50% SC T&C which exclude certain booking classes.

c. I also have some upcoming MEL-SYD return flights that I need to book (During the bonus SC period) but since I haven't received confirmation of registration, I might hold off until I get a few replies....
Fair call, as above - register and take a screenshot just in case.

d. Since the promotion was titled "Fly to Sydney and receive 50% more SC's," would you assume that I would receive 50% more SC's ONLY on Flights that are INBOUND to Sydney? IE Yes for MEL-SYD but No for SYD-MEL
The key is in the T&C. These offers are usually valid for all flights, regardless of how misleading the subject/heading on the email is. Can you copy-paste the full offer T&C in the thread?

Unfortunately, I didn't take A screenshot, but when I clicked the link to register, before booking the flight, this is what the link said:

"Thank you for registering to earn 50% more Status Credits on your next eligible flight with Qantas.*

To take advantage of this limited time offer, simply book a new eligible flight with a QF flight number on your ticket and complete your travel by the dates specified in the email*. Don't forget to include your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number in your booking.

You can enjoy this offer on an unlimited number of flights booked, so book now to get your Status Credits balance soaring."

I went on to book from that URL.
