I am curious as to what might make the flight take an additional 65 minutes? As a percentage of the original flight time, an additional 65 minutes is a fair increase.

Its going 45 mins earlier but arriving at the same time, in theory.

So it leaves 45 minutes earlier, and arrives 20 minutes later.

Could it be a plane change? Smaller/slower aircraft?

Something is amiss with the numbers. The new times show departing 45 mins earlier and arriving at the same time, so that should be a 45 min flight duration increase and 5 hours 15 mins duration. Or is there a mistake in the noted departure or arrival times?

Sometimes airlines change their scheduled times to reflect changes in operating conditions when they find longer than expected ground delays or ATC requirements, so they pad out the schedule to reflect the reality rather than always being late. It could also be a change in aircraft type to one that has a slower cruise speed.
