Hi,

Am I correct in saying that if I am flying first class on Qantas, we can only use the Qantas lounge? And not any other oneworld alliance partner?

What is the lounge like?

Is it worth arrivng a little earlier to enjoy it? or not worry too much?

Any tips or advice?

Thanks.

If you are travelling from LHR on QF, the only lounges in T4 that you can use are the BA lounges, since there are no other OW lounges in the terminal. Under BAA regulations, you cannot use lounges in terminals other than your departure terminal. If there were other lounges besides the BA ones, then you could use them.

Travelling First Class on Qantas, then you will be enttitled to access the Concorde Room which is a very nice lounge; this is at the lounge pavillion near gate 10 ( after passing through security turn right and look for the lounge pavillion just past the end of the travelator )

If you are travelling on one of the evening flights, then I believe that as a Qantas passenger you are entitled to dine at the pre-flight dining in the Concorde Room whilst waiting for the flight. The PFD is a fairly decent waiter serviced 3 course dinner; ask at the CR reception on arrival for access to the dining

Note: at the lounge Pavillion, there is a First Class lounge downstairs, the Concorde Room is on the entry level and the Terraces (Business lounge) is upstairs. You can , if you wish, use any of these lounges, but the Concorde Room is the best to use since (a) it is quieter (only passengers travelling BA or QF in 1st class are permitted access) and (b) it has the pre-flight dining. One World Emerald members travelling economy or business class are entitled to use the First Lounge but not the Concorde Room
