Qantas FF [Emerald, travelling] on AA Flight

Another 2 flights on AA tomorrow (this time under my AA FF number, where I have no status) YYC-DFW then DFW-BZE and another two Pre-Checks :).

I recalled Newk posted something on this and here is the relevant bit (from the Hawaiian Airlines in-flight mag). So it looks like so far, I'm still in the TSA's computer's good books.

Wonder what the AU653 (circled) means?

AU passport, last 3 digits of your passport number.

Are you on a reasonably new ESTA? ie. since they enhanced the ESTA to grill you on more questions such as parents etc.

I've noticed a lot of people on the enhanced ESTA now get precheck nearly every flight. If this theory does hold completely true, I'd rather the enhanced ESTA if it means precheck access.

My current ESTA issued July 2013, well before enhanced questions. Crumbs, it expires soon. Thanks for the indirect reminder!

I received an email from AA today saying that people who are not enrolled in Global Entry or TSApre will see a reduction in their "random" access to the TSApre lane at security.

"This month, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is making changes to the TSA Pre✓®Trusted Traveler Program that will impact which travelers receive expedited screening. If you're not already a member of one of the Trusted Traveler programs like Global Entry or the TSA Pre✓®Application Program, you will probably see a decline in how often you receive expedited screening, even if you've previously "opted-in" through a frequent flyer*program.*

The best way to increase your chances of receiving TSA Pre✓®*on a regular basis is to register for a Trusted Traveler Program with the Department of Homeland Security at*dhs.gov/tt. Once you receive your Known Traveler Number (KTN) from TSA, be sure you update your AAdvantage*profile.*"

I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the thread. When travelling Domestic Y on AA mainline as a QF WP I usually get recognised as a AA EXP and I get a free sandwich. This had never happened to me on American Eagle in the past, but in the last 6 months I've been given food for free on flights operated by Envoy Air for American Eagle but not on flights operated by Skywest for American Eagle.
Have people here experienced the same on American Eagle? Is it limited to Envoy Air? The flight attendant gave me a giant resealable bag of mixed nuts (American size snacks...)

I'm still not sure if they know I'm a QF WP and not an AA EXP, but I take the food anyway:)

US made it a point when the policy change occurred in October 2014 to tell me that because I hold EMD status, I'm eligible for a free snack/sandwich/etc. It's not a written benefit on the AA/US sites but it has definitely been communicated to FAs.

When travelling last year in the USA got precheck every time. Wasn't sure if it would be different this year, but are about to fly JFK-SFO and still got it. In the Flagship lounge at the moment - very nice breakfast :)

there a quote from a USair FA ('galleywench') that oneworld Emeralds are listed in their manual as being entitled to receive the benefit.

Flew a few AA, US And DL flights last year, and as OWE and Plat VA, never received pre-check once.

Wasn't referring to precheck, although I have reveived ~80% of the time over the last year or so.

I was referring to the "free drink and snack in coach" benefit for EXP (/Emeralds).
