Anyone note other reporting of Jetstar dropping an order for 1 787 (from 15 to 14)?

Qantas Cancels An Order For A Jetstar Boeing 787 Dreamliner | Gizmodo Australia

It was noted alongside some new orders, with speculation the cancelling of one 787 came to the value of the new orders ;)

It was also noted somewhere (can't recall where) that this dropping of a 787 was done at the end of 2012, and is simply being brought to light now.

Sam I read this somewhere too - saying it was all dine before Christmas but couldn't be announced until now after all the legalese paperwork was done with. Kind of makes sense - it's not like they cancelled a toaster order. I'm guessing some money/loans etc were involved.

As for the 787 grounding situation - I decided to write up my thoughts on how it's all played out on my blog. Was going to past here but it's a bit long. If anyone wants a read its here: InNews: 787 Dreamliner Grounding
