I just ran a test search and there was availability to London from Dubai almost every day in different months.

So I assume you are struggling with a pre-Dubai segment from somewhere in Australia? It would help if we knew the airport/routing. But there is heaps of availability to the UK in F.

It's the "getting to Dubai" bit that is the black hole.
I'm trying from Sydney-Dubai and basically there is nothing in April, and 2-3 dates only in May.
Of any class.
Tried departing other Cities in Australia, same thing.
Basically you end up on Jetstar to Singapore.
Then the Singapore Dubai Madrid (in my case) flights don't align anyway.
Seems they only seem to offer classic reward seats on flights that don't connect?
Just going to buy seats on Emirates. Less hassle.

Well I'm almost glad others are now seeing my problem for MEL/SYD to DXB flights..

MEL nothing after 7 March
SYD nothing after 18 March (except 12 May which popped up today)

We should be seeing up to about 8 June at the moment but still nothing for March/April and May

Again, I just hope it suddenly starts working after 5 August when the new QF rates kick in....

Still don’t know why you assume that?

Won’t EK CRs become relatively cheaper under the new system after 5 Aug? Since EK will come under the QF and friends redemption category.

Well I'm almost glad others are now seeing my problem for MEL/SYD to DXB flights..

MEL nothing after 7 March
SYD nothing after 18 March (except 12 May which popped up today)

We should be seeing up to about 8 June at the moment but still nothing for March/April and May

Again, I just hope it suddenly starts working after 5 August when the new QF rates kick in....

EK redemptions will fall, as they come under the QF (friendly) redemption rates. Albeit, will increase from 05 Aug.

No, going from HND to DXB and then onto Europe. Works for just about everywhere in Europe but not the UK.

You seem to be popping up on many AFF threads talking about the same problem be it from HND, HKG, or PVG. The answer is always the same, the flights are there but you have call QF and I have mentioned this before. There currently seems to be an issue with the booking engine and the flights will not ticket through to the payment gateway. I am heading to EU and the UK for the same reason you are booking. I have been able able to book HND-DBX-LHR I am now working on the return journey. All my flight are with EK.

Has anyone noticed that the F rewards seem to have vanished from DXB to most places in Asia from 12 June 26 onwards. I picked up some F seats HND-LHR for the out bound leg (had to call to book). For the return journey I had been watching the releases and things were going like clock work up until 11 June. I can still see J rewards to most Asian cities that I would be able to travel back through to the current release date but nothing in F to any location. I called QF to ask if they could see them and the agent advised that he could see that they were there but have gone and mentioned he could not tell if there were booked or EK took them away. He checked across multiple locations e.g. SIN, KUL, HKG, TPE, HND and it was the same post 12 June nothing in F on any route. Is anyone aware of up coming changes that EK may be doing, maybe they will come back, maybe not.

Here’s a question … what to do about a ticketing error of sorts by QF. We have two tickets on the same PNR, points deducted, ticket issued with ticket numbers for both pax. When we booked the customer service agent took my debit card number for the surcharges and I immediately received an SMS indicating the amount and also later noticed pending charge for the correct amount of surcharge. Two days later that pending amount has charged .. half of what was pending, and the ticket confirmation also only lists half of the surcharge (but allocated against both tickets). Odd.

I believe that as of today they are releasing the award tickets on schedule but they are only available up to about June 12. Two weeks ago it was only until the end of May. I have been able to book a F redemption HND-DXB-AMS for May 31 but I had to call up to get a full day layover in Dubai. On the return leg I will not be able to get a redemption pre-devaluation and have redeemed through Krisflyer instead direct back to Oz.

Yeah looking to book AMS-DXB-SIN for mid June, DXB-SIN part only available up to June 11 on Emirates. No Emirates flights yet from June 12 onwards from what I can see

Well they will probably advance by 4 days by August 4, the last date for which you will be able to redeem before devaluation (presumably midnight Sydney time - and if you want to call up, it needs to be done by 7pm)

I seem to be seeing EK releases up to 14 Jun, here are some screen shots that I have taken I am starting in HEL so I have to connect somewhere in the EU or EK and there is quite a lot of availability from the EU or LHR to DXB in EK F
Multi city search (HEL-DXB) F is available, 14 June Multi City search (DXB-HKG) only J

Standard search DXB-HKG, F available to 11 Jun, J available up to 14 Jun

I have not had experience in the mixed class multi flight scenario but have changed from J to F as a seat opened and just paid the extra points and taxes. If you are travelling SIN-DXB in F and onward to AMS in J as a through flight charged as if you are travelling in F all the way. In theory there should be no issues in changing to F as you have already paid the points.

@dajop are your EK tickets showing as confirmed and ticketed on EK site, if so there shouldn't be any problem with the tickets issuing correctly. If QF have not charged you enough for the taxes I suspect they will catch up in the future, I would just watch to ensure nothing goes wrong in the future.

Emirates availability is good, mostly due to the high fees. Almost the same price to fly paid Qatar from Jakata as the tax on emirates

I have found that at times, it seems to be daily and then just stops for a week or two and then comes back to "normal"

This is for DXB-EU and EU-DXB routes that I watch far too often

was looking at KUL-DXB, there were a lot of F availabilities up until early June, even for 2 people.
while I was searching, suddenly the F availabilities almost disappeared completely, even for 1 person.
not sure if a coincidence or my searches triggered the system to remove F availabilities?
