Another data point: I have SYD-MEL and MEL-SYD flights coming up and as a Platinum, row 4 is blocked for me until T-80, whereupon the row is unblocked and it costs AUD55 to select. At T-24 when online check-in opens row 4 is blocked again.

Similar to me yesterday for SYD-BNE, but it opened up for free a couple of hours before departure, maybe around T-8 - can't remember exactly.

Yep moved from 5A to 4D in the app.

Wife had a paid flex ticket with economy plus and no status and just checked in for PER to BNE flight on the a A321. While still having the plus seat in row 18 her boarding group was 4 which based on their web page it should be group 2. Anyhow she asked the question and was told not on this plane do we give group 2 for plus.
Can anyone confirm if this is the rule for the A321 with the plus seats so far back in row 17 and 18?

I don't think that row is treated as plus is it? It just happens to have extra legroom.

No. I got free Economy Plus back in April as I picked 17F before they introduced it. Was in Group 2 and flew on the A321 MEL-SYD

Yep moved from 5A to 4D in the app.

This was my experience about 11 hours out from flight time of 10am on 17 Sept. moved both of us into row 4. We had a spare seat between us

Cause I came home early, I separated the booking
My non-status friend’s seat held for 5A. He was moved from boarding group 1 to Group 6
He told me afterwards they had an empty seat at 5B(originally mine)

Also note, QF now board front and back doors

Had posted in 330 thread, but also worth posting here. From the QF seatmap page appears all the 332 and 333s now have Economy Plus, as the alternate maps have now been removed

Flew Perth to Sydney on a QF 737. Sat in row 7 economy plus. Boarded in group 2, plenty of legroom. I was very happy with the space.
Flight was a full flight. Lots looking for space in overhead lockers, glad we boarded early
