Hi, early March this year I booked several flights on the same day during a double status credits promotion. I booked the first which I guess must have been Adelaide to Brisbane using a Qantas gift voucher I had bought in December then later return from Gold Coast via Melbourne using residue. Also booked return to Bangkok in June also with the remaining residue of my voucher and probably a bit extra as well.
The double status credits from Bangkok awarded around 2 days after each flight - no probs. The recent flight to Brisbane did not come up with any bonus points but a few days after for my return flight GC/Mel I received bonus points for those flights.
Have contacted Qantas via facebook re this (and another unrelated matter) and now get told that Bris flight is not eligible as booked on a voucher?
I have tried reading T@Cs but all I can see is it has to have a QF no, (which it did) and not a classic award flight. Yet the other flights were booked on voucher (originally $1000) residues and they have been awarded? I have not pointed this out to Qantas in case they take those away from me - although the Bangkok one has let me stay silver another year.
Is there something I am missing here - don't get it.
Thanks, Margaret

It'll normally take a few business days or so after the standard credits post before DSCs post. Note the T&Cs do say that you need to wait 6 weeks (I think) before chasing them up on DSCs that haven't posted.

Try calling QF and explain you used a gift voucher. If they won't credit the DSCs then call again and see if a different operator is more helpful.

Thanks - yes the flight on the 5th that have not rec double status credits but return on 16th has. I might try ringing sometime and see what happens there.

The original voucher was purchased outside of the promo period which is why it didnt credit DSC. Youd have to call and explain that a voucher was used but that the booking was made in the promo period.
For the remainder, the residual vouchers were issued inside the promo period so they credited as expected.

Thank you. Understand now. I will ring and explain that - certainly worth a try!

Some have reported greater success with some agents than others so if you don't succeed the first time it could be worth ringing again and seeing if a different agent helps you. Though the long time on hold waiting for an agent to be available may make this quite unattractive.

As you suggested above I'd only mention to the agent the flight that didn't credit.

Make it clear that it's a booking using a gift voucher, not a credit voucher from a cancelled flight.

You should be prepared to provide proof of purchase of the voucher and the invoice showing the flights were booked during the promo period.

Just an update. I did ring and spoke to someone who said they would have to do a report and send it on and might take a while etc. I did'nt have a lot of hope, but am pleased to say the credits have now turned up. Thanks to all for your advice and tips etc.
