Qantas Business Class meals & menus

OT I know, but CBR JLounge is the only QF dom JLounge that I have seen staff doing the mobile food/coffee service.

Up there as my fav dom lounge...
I too, love the CBR lounge.
After ordering coffee the staff often ask where I am sitting so they can deliver it to my seat.
They also roam the lounge asking if passengers would like anything to drink.

(Shame about the lack of a view though :().

Edit: Apologies, I have seen a mobile breakfast toastie service in QF BNE JLounge.

Evening hot snacks in BNE occasionally

Indeed fifa, the staff also delivered drinks to us as well. I really must get back to CBR soon.

Now PeteJ, remember how I was offered to sit next to the only other pax (female) on the J cabin - by an enormous shift of fate, that pax was someone whom I see as we walk our dogs in the morning. Needless to say, it was a brilliant flight home:

Option 1: Chicken parmigiana

Option 2: Asian noodles with beef and chili sauce

Wine selection (somehow the remains of the red found its way into my FF bag)':

Amazing. Just goes to show, it's a small world, isn't it?

CBR J lounge is a great lounge. Pity I have a few hours coming up. ;) :D

French cheese selection

Wines on offer tonight:
Shaw & Smith Sauv Blanc 2014
Flametree Chardonnay 2013
Leeuwin Estate Cab Merlot 2010
Lillypilly Sweet Harvest
Baileys of Glenrowan port
The meal was good but portions were too small for dinner. Even after I had the cheese I still wasn't completely full and had to eat something later at the hotel.
At least the FA was generous with the wine :)

PER-BNE Dinner
The menu

First course - prosciutto, Gorgonzola and toasted walnut salad.
ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1424839481.322454.jpg
Main - Slow roasted spiced lamb shoulder.

Dessert - Sago pudding with salted coconut.

The wines were exactly the same as posted on my flight to PER. I enjoyed the Flametree Chardonnay and although they only offered one choice of red it was a good one - Cab Merlot from Leeuwin Estate.
The starter and main were both excellent and portions were decent size this time. I didn't enjoy the dessert, I guess Sago is just not to my taste.

Has there ever been discussion of Qantas allowing J passengers to pre-order their meals?

There is "On-q-eat" for international, just wondering why for their "Restaurant in the sky" for transcontinental they don't offer the same service. The benefit being able to potentially offer more options.

I'd have also thought there would be less waste (cost) / greater customer satisfaction so a win:win. The IT seems to be in place already as well...

Boomy, the MEL-BNE flight meal looks so much more appealing than the flagship MEL-PER transcon meal. I would have thought those menus were for each others' flights if you hadn't identifed the routes.

Still awaiting the 7 course MEL-SYD degustation menu...

wow that transcon meal is dire, so much empty plate space and 'filler' - Hey Goober! Where's the beef??"

I guess they are going for the perception of fine dining - quality over quantity.

that would match the marketing speech for sure :) seriously though, my international Y meal was more substantial last week on QF :!:
