We had the pizza on Monday's flight, looked terrible but actually tasted pretty good in my opinion.
The return journey had a chicken and avo sandwich which was also pretty good, especially for a 2pm departure.

Seems very difficult to get a pizza in a box correct, unless you go light on the cheese (and then don't rock the boxes once they are hot).

Cheese, pesto and a dough base normally is a great taste combination (maybe a salty one), but I wouldn't expect a good pizza (i.e. good crust).

Very much so. A pizza slice sounds good at 35,000 feet but did they test how it would look (and taste) after leaving the catering line, sitting in a warmer for a couple of hours before being served?

The sandwiches are fine ... +1 versus most of the hot dishes ... they could be a bit bigger though, they're like 2/3 of a regular sandwich.

QF888 PER-ADL hot option chicken mushroom potatoes, cold option beef meatball teriyaki salad. Had the chicken, was pleasantly surprised. Travelling companion rated the salad highly.

Obviously not enough dip.

Ironically, crudites and a drink is a fairly traditional accompaniment. Of course, the whole idea was to enjoy fresh vegetables with an aperitif; those carrots are far, far, far from the garden they were grown in...
