Qantas domestic economy meals

I fly a lot of regional flights. The are actually very tasty. I would like to find that onion relish No kitchen on the dash 8 400 so you just have to suck it up. Mostly give you a wine or beer though. Luckily I have access to the lounges. Can’t blame Qantas for the aircraft unfortunately, especially for an hour in the air.

Who else is there to blame for the aircraft if not the airline?!

They could provide something more substantial like a sandwich.

Not going to disagree but for a short flight
It’s more than enough for me. The olives, cheese and salami aren’t quite as tasty but not bad. Same service if you are p1 or bronze. And Jetstar would charge you $14 for a beer and the same snack. I fly Brisbane to Canberra on the dash 8 and it’s not the best but I would rather have the frequency than less flights with the jets. If you don’t have lounge access I can see how it might upset you. Bonus if you fly cns tsv mky rok you get 4 snacks and 4 drinks in 2 hours. Unfortunately no extra sc or points

Salami and cheese would at least be more than a few nuts and dry crackers.

I don't see what Jetstar has to do with it though? I'm not flying Jetstar. I'm paying a premium foy fly QF so I don't expect to pay $14 for a beer. In fact at the time of booking the flight was close to $600 for the Dash 8 flight. Hence I booked the 45 minute later flight at least than half that cost. Still expensive for a short flight though.

It's really not the length of the flight that's important. QF should think about it from the pax perspective. Heck, charge another $10 on top of the extortionate fare already and offer a sandwich. No one is going to notice the difference between $260 and $270 for that short flight.

I had a similar experience recently in a Dash-8 from Griffith to Sdyeny. No lounge (or even cafe) at GFF so was hoping for a sandwich on the lunchtime flight. Nup, just the crackers and nuts…
