Don’t forget the Krispy Kremes! Those things seem to occupy more overhead space than baggage on certain routes!

What they should do is to put clear labels in the overhead bins for each seat, on the visible part of the closure. And then it's blatantly obvious if someone has put more than their allowance in your seats space, from when its upto each party to negotiate on sharing rights.

Also solves the drama that cheeses me off but I did not post that one in the cheese off thread.

Not unusual for a significant proportion on those flights to be SG and above. A retired CSM told me once that the highest Number was 128 on a 737 CityFlyer

There's a few Qantas 737s with the deeper bins in the system, where you can get your bags in sideways. Definitely needs to be standard.

SYD-ADL last week was at the front of the priority queue. Ramp doors open, a family is guided down then without any boarding announcement 2 blokes walked straight past us all, checked in and walked down the ramp. No comment from the door person.
As they settled into 2A & 2C I mentioned to them they must be very important to just push past everyone.
Too bad no one from QF did as well.

Another good QF71 experience yesterday (well, except for the 5+ hour delay).

Priority boarding enforced, and there was even one of the QF staff going down the line and confirming boarding passes. Quite a few people surreptitiously exited the line to join the regular queue when they noticed that.

QF613 BNE-MEL today worked well.

Weirdly, no enforcement required.

They call for the usual cohort and almost no one moved.

It was me, two other pax and a dead heading CSM.

And credit where it’s due: there was a single staff member at the scanner and the deadheading crew member stepped up to help and boarded almost last.

Priority boarding enforced at SYD T3 QF592 this morning, all Priority lane cleared using both scanners before any whY allowed to move forward.

Of course as soon as non status pax started to board some oaf puts his carry-on case sideways above 5A-C instead of wheels first above his own seat (it would have easily fit the right way) and then heads down theback.

PB sort of enforced at HBA to MEL yesterday. PB line formed, but only one FA, on the other side, so they called the PB line pax across. Whereupon non PB pax - correctly in that line, sort of merged.

Edit : another thread reminded me: Out to tarmac, plane not ready, held at foot of stairs for few mins. Radio batteries possibly flat.

I think PB was enforced at Brisbane domestic. QF529 to Syd today. There was no one in the priority queue so we swanned in. The economy queue had a rather long line. Our flight to Bali via Melbourne was cancelled and so we were fortunate to get seats via Sydney.

PB, what's PB at MEL when you're off to BNE? Simultaneous queues and of course the suit in front of me dropped his phone as he went to put it on the scanner, lost his screen, fumbled and held up everyone in that line. Tosser in suit with phone. Every time.

Fail at OOL this morning.

Priority Boarding called but then this non-status pax flying Y with a child pushes in front and asks due to kid can he board early, then doesn't have his wife with him but has all 3 boarding passes on his phone so all the J and status pax were held back while he called his wife forward and the Y lane started boarding first.

Also another toddler threw a tantrum during boarding blocking aisle for a minute or so until mum picked her up.

We were late taking off.

Ignoring that the 10:15 QF592 service from SYD to OOL only pushed back a few mins ago and we’re still taxiing to the runway as I type, PB was managed well with priority pax called first. Noticed a few folks voluntarily departing the queue as they noticed passes were being checked. Deadheading crew member was dutifully waiting for all priority pax to board. I offered for her to cut in front of me if she needed to get on board, but after politely thanking me, she advised she would “…do the right thing and allow all the priority pax to board first.”

Inadvertent win from Qantas (for me at least) -: same aircraft that serviced QF592 happens to be doing the return QF595 leg, so my at risk connection turned out to be very comfortable! CSM Toby had a good laugh with me when I turned up again to re-board the same aircraft

PB managed very well here at OOL, which has basically been my experience over the last 5 visits since end of April.

PB worked well at BNE for QF533 on Friday ... until a staff member stood at the scanner for the non-priority line. People jumped straight in and started boarding through the Y lane.

QF455 SYD>MEL. No idea if PB was managed well or otherwise?

Boarding was due to commence at 14:40, but at 14:35 in the J Lounge, announcement is made that the aircraft is in final stages of boarding. I look at the monitor and it’s showing “Final Call” and when I arrived at the gate, both lanes were in operation and queues were non-existent.

Suffice it to say that after having chased the same crew on 3 consecutive legs today, Toby wanted to have a chat once we were at cruising altitude
