Well, to be fair to my humble self, my OP is new news - specifically about the upcoming flights.

But those who follow rugby league and/or the Las Vegas scene, or pay attention to Qantas’ announcements may have been aware anyway.

With Las Vegas become a dead city, and also the fierce immigration procedures at the US Border, I actually wonder if it is a shot at the foot to launch any US flights, in particular LAS?
I would have thought Qantas would be better off launching Mexico and add a new Mexican partner for connection to the carribean for those who are interested to go to the US.

I’d love to have direct flights to North America that don’t go to/via the US. Vancouver is OK but Mexico would be great.
