On Wednesday 23 September, QF1, the mid afternoon 1445 hours SYD-SIN-LHR did not take off until 1744 hours. SIN gate arrival should be 2326 hours, 131 minutes late. If past flights are a reasonable (though imperfect) guide, the A380 should have a reduced delay when it arrives in London tomorrow morning UK time. Aircraft us A388 VH-OQB.

QF59 (A333 VH-QPF) is the 1115 hours SYD up to HND airborne at 1230 hours. Suggested gate arrival becomes 2106 hours mid evening Japan time, 56 late.

Haven’t seen reports of planned industrial action or anything of that nature; is there any intel on the reason for the expected longer processing times, and on if these functions are actually taking longer today - and if so, whether they are causing flight delays?

Currently onboard QF426 MEL-SYD (A321 VH-OGC). The computer has gone tech just before take off and we’ve gone back to the gate. So far we’ve been advised that we may leave 10 15, so at least 75 min behind schedule. There are many passengers on connecting international flights like QF7

It ended up taking off at 1031 and arriving at its SYD gate at 1144 hours, 74 minutes late.

This may be why A388 VH-OQD on the 1200 'high noon' SYD-DFW aforementioned QF7 did not take off until 1247. Gate arrival in Dallas should be (same day) about 1301 hours, 31 minutes late.

Later on Friday 25 September, QF11 (1750 hours SYD-LAX, A388 VH-OQH) was airborne at 1857 so gate arrival will be at around the 1517 hours mark, 47 late.

Thursday 24's QF1 (-OQA) arrived LHR on Friday 25 at 0724 hours, 49 late.

On Saturday 26 September, QF93, the A380 scheduled to depart MEL at 0945 hours for LAX has been cancelled. This is due to the Thursday 24 QF94 from LAX to MEL with VH-OQK also getting the boot.

On Friday 25 September, A388 VH-OQL as QF1 from SYD arrived SIN at 2127 hours, 12 minutes late. However the second sector scheduled at 2320 hours from SIN did not take off until Saturday 26's 0049 hours, so LHR gate arrival becomes 0718 hours, 43 minutes late.

Friday's 1935 hours PER-FCO QF5 (B789 VH-ZNN) was airborne at 2059 hours so on Saturday 26, Italian gate arrival should approximately be 0703 hours, 48 behind.

Some Brisbane Lions fans who tried to be too clever by half and booked flights from BNE or OOL to MEL on Saturday 26 September for the same day AFL Grand Final may not make it to the MCG in time due to poor weather in MEL that's delaying a lot of inbound flights, including the usual holding patterns close to MEL.

QF619, the 1005 hours BNE-MEL (B738 VH-VZC) did not take off until 1052 hours despite pushing back at 1019 hours. It won't be arriving at its scheduled 1235 hours.

QF615, the 1000 hours BNE-MEL is just ahead, having become airborne at 1048 with suggested gate arrival 1259 hours, 39 late for VH-VYE.

There are also significant delays ex SYD. QF425, the 0900 hours SYD-MEL took off at 1014 with BG738 VH-VYB having a fairly lengthy hold above Mt Buller, so gate arrival becomes 1157 hours, 82 minutes late. QF427 is the 0915 hours southbound on the same route: VH-VZO is likely to arrive at 1213 hours, 83 late. QF435 is suggested as arriving at gate in MEL at about 1243 hours, 38 late.

Sunday 27 September's QF101 (0850 hours morning SYD up to NAN operated by B738 VH-XZA) was airborne at 0948. Gate arrival becomes approximately 1528 mid afternoon, 33 minutes late.

VH-XZC, another with 3+3 uncomfortable seating in whY, is on QF195, the 0910 hours BNE across to WLG in the sky at 1004 hours. Arrival should be at about 1612 hours, 32 behind.

QF91 from SYD to expensive NOU is similarly late, with this 0845 hours offering in the sky at 0940. B738 VH-XZG looks to be arriving at gate at around 1310 hours, 35 minutes tardy.

QF93, the 0945 hours MEL-LAX hasn't had a good few days.

On Thursday 24 September it arrived LAX at 0839 hours, 94 minutes late.

On Friday 25 its B789 arrived LAX 32 minutes late at 0737.

As previously noted, on Saturday 26 (an A380 scheduled day), it was cancelled.

Today, Sunday 27, QF93 took off at 1144 hours with B789 VH-ZNI, so gate arrival same day in LAX should be about 0830 hours, 85 late.

Sunday 27 September should be the seventh consecutive day when QF11, the very late afternnon 1750 hours SYD-LAX arrives at gate slightly more than half an hour late.

Today's has A388 VH_OQG that was in the sky at 1858 hours with gate arrival suggested (same day) as 1505 hours, 35 minutes late.
