Delays to Perth due to strong winds.
QF651/31 May just had an unsuccessful landing attempt at Perth.

QF104 (VH-QPK) from Saturday (30 May) is running about 20 hours late, and is now due into Sydney this afternoon (01 June) at 14.50, resulting in an aircraft swap for today's QF81/82 SYD-SIN-SYD to VH-QPG.

As at 1500 AEST on Monday 1 June, in a 'nice' start to winter, a rainy MEL is on single runway operations.

Delays range from minimal to almost an hour, but tonight may be a bigger test, as the BOM is forecasting 'damaging' winds of up to 50kmh.

Due to Typhoon, Qantas Flight QF26/2 Jun has been delayed.
New Departure time 8:05am 3 Jun.
QF25/2 June has now delayed to 3 June.

Departure of this morning’s QF2077 MQL-MEL has been delayed due to fog, and is projected to also delay the subsequent QF2078/2079 MEL-MQL-ME pair. The slightly earlier QF1402 MQL-SYD presumably got out just in time.

On Sunday 7 June, QF7, the 1200 'high noon' SYD up and across to DFW had A388 VH-OQB. The plane arrived in SYD as QF64 (ex JNB) at 1456 hours, only a minute late, and was able to take off at 1736 hours. DFW arrival at gate should be about 1716 hours, 286 minutes late.

Presumably another A380 had failed or was delayed.

The 6 June (ex DFW) QF8 should arrive SYD on Monday 8 at 0822 hours, 87 minutes late with VH-OQC.

Just had 1439 cancel on me while I was packing up in the lounge to head to the gate. Moved to the next flight after stopping at the SYD T3 J lounge desk (they had to sort out an issue before the move was confirmed). A few other people at the desk very unhappy about the flight getting cancelled.
Only the 3rd flight I've had cancelled on me on the day of travel in 22 years of traveling.

I had booked 1437 when I booked this trip, only for the fuel "shortage" capacity cut to hit the following morning.

1439 had be shown as 3 different operating aircraft since I checked in at HND last night (QF60 - QF1439). It appears that a dash 8 went tech and they've been swapping other aircraft around all morning thinking they could fix it for an afternoon flight, only for another aircraft to get a problem with no other aircraft to swap around.
1439 has been showing at VH-84A, VH-QOK and then VH-LQF at different points over the last 14 hours.

On Friday 12 June 2026, QF81 (A388 VH-OQC, the scheduled 1020 hours SYD-SIN) took off at 1136 so gate arrival becomes 1725 hours, half an hour late.

Yesterday (11 June), QF7 from SYD to DFW arrived at 1323 hours, 53 late with VH-OQD. Today QF7 was cancelled.

On top of these 2 - QF 29 is delayed out of MEL to HKG - QPF (A333) departed at 1346 instead of 1015, now ETA is 2035 instead of 1755

This aircraft will form 128 to SYD with scheduled departure now at 2155 - update… took off at 2248, ETA is now 0930 instead of 0645

On Sunday 14 June, the FlightRadar24 site showed Q400 VH-QOP as operating two flights at the same time.

It claimed that the plane ran QF2091, the 0810 hours early morning MEL-LST that took off at 0849 hours. It also suggested the aircraft had a tour of duty to MQL in the shape of QF2078, the scheduled 0830 hours airborne at 0837. The latter seems factual as the return flight was also shown and timed by FR24.

Oddly another Q400, VH-84L was also shown as operating the QF2091 (and return QF2092) MEL-LST-MEL with takeoff for the 2091 at 0850 hours. This is likely to be factual.

I don't know whether a last minute aircraft swap confused the FR24 website.
