Qantas Delays/Cancellations

You missed the QF34 PER SYD originally from Paris on ZNH (B789) - took off at 1240 instead of 1135, ETA is 1917 instead of 1840

A large number of aircraft are holding in various locations given the single runways ops in Sydney.

QF34 had been further delayed with gate arrival for B789 VH-ZNH now 2004 hours, 84 minutes late, as it had two holds, the first above Bowing and Yass, the second above Goulburn. The B789 is meant to form QF73, the 2125 hours mid evening flight to SFO so that hasn't a hope of departing on time.

On Saturday 28 March, QF63 (A388 VH-OQD) is expected to depart at 1100 hours, 90 minutes late. The plane has been in Sydney since arriving at 0629, 26 minutes early as QF8 from DFW.

A332 VH-EBN is on QF67, the 0905 hours SYD-BLR in India, estimated to push back at 1030.

A333 VH-QPI is operating QF79, the 0925 hours MEL-NRT predicted to depart at 1019 hours.

When there's significant disruption as seen with Friday 27 Match's single runway operations at Sydney all day and into the night, plus windy and rainy weather in Melbourne, aircraft may be out of position.

On Friday, B738 VH-VXE stayed the night in CBR, so on Saturday, it had to operate empty - 'ferry' - flight QF6102, arriving in SYD at 1009 hours.

It then formed QF433, the 1005 hours SYD down to MEL airborne at 1152, arriving at 1309 hours, 89 minutes late and then QF438, the 1320 hours back to SYD that took off at 1436 with forecast gate arrival of 1546, 71 late.

QF93 (A388 VH-OQJ, the 1200 'high noon' MEL-LAX was not airborne until 1422 hours so gate arrival should be 1026 hours same day, 121 minutes late.

Friday 27's QF21 (1605 hours MEL-DFW) was delayed by 22 hours, being rescheduled as a 1400 hours Saturday 28 departure that took off at 1505. B789 VH-ZNE should arrive at about 1434, more than an hour late.
