Qantas Delays/Cancellations

On Wednesday 30 April, A332 VH-EBB arrived in BNE (as QF52 ex SIN) at 0913 hours, 193 minutes late.

It then operated as QF6004 empty down to SYD, arriving at 1210 hours. Next up was the Thursday 1 May QF19 that as noted above was changed from 1225 hours to a for4ecast 1930 hours departure: it was airborne at 2039 mid evening. MNL arrival on Friday 2 was at 0232 hours, 462 minutes behind schedule.

The returning QF20 took off from MNL at 0433 hours this morning, arriving at its SYD gate at 1341 this afternoon, 421 late and is now on QF41, the scheduled 1410 hours SYD-CGK that should arrive tonight at 1935 hours, 35 late.

QF1 delayed until 2130 on 1/5/25

This has A388 VH-OQA that took off from SYD on Thursday 1 May at 2223 hours, arriving SIN this morning at 0352 hours. It then took off at 0644 with LHR arrival suggested as 1314 hours, 399 minutes late.

TOday's QF1 has -OQG but due to the need for sufficient rest for the crew, it won't be departing SIN for LHR until 0530 hours tomorrow morning, just over six hours late.

No arriving QF2 today 6/5 but there is a 332?

As a side note I’m currently in the Emirates AKL lounge. QF is using it while they take a year to fix there’s! IMG_3793.jpeg

Doesn’t seem to be reported here but VH-ZNH doing its QF9 duty from PER to LHR diverted to Male due to a medical emergency where crew obviously timed out.

I assume a at least 24 hours unexpected holiday is in for most pax but logistically this must have been a nightmare to organise ad hoc… Maybe other OW carriers or EK with Male base helped out?

I just saw that article too - it certainly wouldn't have been easy to sort out.

Not here, but over here.

Looks like it will be ferried back to Perth later today. So, I wonder how they rebooked an entire Dreamliner full of pay to London out of the Maldives.

Then they would also have had to deal with the aircraft not making it to LHR to operate the return QF10 either...

Todays QF12 is delayed two hours. The inbound was an hour or so late, but surprised that would cause an issue to tonight’s departure back to SYD.

Update: Just received a text saying mechanical issues, with a scheduled departure 1:10am.

QF2 arriving 10/5 into SYD 12 hours late after departing LHR on Friday morning instead of Thursday night.

With the late arrival of the 12 on 10/5 the 63 is 45 minutes late.

The QF1 has been pushed back to 19:15 because the QF2 is late.

The 64 will form the 11 which is currently on time.

QF2 arriving 11/5 into SYD two hours late. But it is OQH after it positioned from Dresden to LHR. OQG is now in DRS.

On Sunday 11 May 2025, QF1, the 1450 hours SYD-SIN-LHR with A388 VH_OQH took off at 1901. The SIN intermediate stop is expected to be from 0037 hours on Monday 12 to 0228 so expect LHR gate arrival at around 0930 hours, 175 minutes late.

VH-OQB on the 10 May QF1 ex SYD is only just arriving LHR on Sunday 11 at 1207 hours, 332 minutes behind schedule.

QF2 arriving 12/5 is 7 hours late. It’s OQH that operated the late QF1 on 11/1. It turned around in SIN to return to SYD. OQJ turned around in SIN to return to LHR albeit 4 hours late.
