I only received my PIN today, but I specifically asked the rep who I've been corresponding with about bonus points, and his email said "As long as application is approved by 31 Dec 2012, you will be eligible for bonus Qantas points."

So whilst it might suggest something different in the T&C, I'll be pointing out this communication if I don't get the points.

Re: Check you statement for correct points given. 1 point per $1 spent.

Be sure to double check the points recieved on your CC Statement, compared to your actual spend. Excluding refunds & interest.....

Rang them to ask to explain why I've not been given 1 point per $ spent over the last few months. Gave them Dec & Nov statement facts as info.

They say the technical department will look into it very soon and contact me back in a few days to hhopefully fix the problem...

PLEASE GO OVER ALL YOUR STATEMENTS FROM AT LEAST OCTOBER 2012 (ie: Due in Nov / Dec & Jan).

Dec - Spent $918 / Given 797 points (Only noticed today, after looking at current bill. Made me go through to statement 1!)
Nov - Spent $678 / Given 330 points
Oct - Spent $3,064.00 / Given 3,005 Points.

Can someone tell me when bpay was excluded from earning points?

I didn't realise that that points were ever earned for BPay transactions on this card. I've certainly never received any.

Re: Check you statement for correct points given. 1 point per $1 spent.

I usually pay everything with bpay, no one (3 staff!) understood what I was on about, untill the 3rd staff member asked if I used bpay.

Not happy with the service, so planning on cancelling the card asap. Only into my 8th month (no yearly charge).

My understanding is that BPaying is similar to a cash advance hence the no earn. I tend to pay using the credit facility then transfer the money from my bank account at the end of each day, enablingthe points earn and never having the balance too far in credit.

I haven't read the terms and conditions in the last 6 months, but if my dodgy recall is correct, Bpay is excluded. Found it, Section 29, Interpretations, subsection (F)

I shall go through the t and c of all the cards. I THINK the only major bank that still gives points for BPay is ANZ. Note that is just off the top of my head. There are threads about it all here. As well as the aforementioned T and Cs.
Would be great to hear what everyone else has found.
To get back on topic I find this card very useful and the service has been terrific. I must be up to my third or fourth 5000 point month.

Not happy with the service? Is this because you don't earn point while using Bpay? I'm not too sure which providers earn points using bpay!

If you go onto bpay.com and type in the biller code you can see who accepts credit cards. If they accept credit cards then it's treated as a purchase. You can use the WWEDRCC or the Citibank Emirates to do a bpay payment and I have before.

NAB is still giving points for Bpay, CBA used to but stopped in Nov 2012. WBC never gave since beginning.

Re: Check you statement for correct points given. 1 point per $1 spent.

Just a note to those who may have taken up this card simply for the pts - YES guilty your Honour - I spent $5.60 in Dec at Woolies - tried to transfer pmt today but it states Biller requires min $20.00 transfer - so I am now in credit til next month.

Re: Check you statement for correct points given. 1 point per $1 spent.

Got the card finally on 3 January, haven't use it since activation. Checked QFF today and received 5000 points on 2nd January. :):)
