Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Ok everyone calm down, yes there has been some pet food and taco seasoning but I may have exaggerated the amount in that image a little :) I'm still sitting pretty on a tidy pile of points though, thanks mostly to this forum of course. As for the Xmas flight, it is a legit itinerary however not ticketed and I won't be flying on it, so sorry no trip report. I would imagine the route has improved since the days RJ paid a SAA crew to fly a SAA plane there.

Okay, so now we have your attention - is this script worth working on further? I hear complaints about JQ flights showing occasionally.

Wondered why there was no logout button and spacing was off! I would also be surprised if anyone would actually spend $125K on such an offer.

what a wonderful thing.
And let's hope that Qantas do it themselves one day.
Even though they make more highlight of it these days one of my big bugbears is being put on a Jetstar flight through the Q web site. I am not sure they realise what a bad thing it is for their image
Then again maybe they do and it's a good cop bad cop routine

Someone else pointed out a month or so ago, from the Qantas site you can click on "Book" then "Flights" then select "Qantas flights from the left hand panel" This will then only show QF flights and omit JQ for you.

Hi Everyone,
At some point the script has began breaking/hiding the main navigation panel on the QF website. I've made a slight change to the code which appears to rectify this. With undertaking the extensive testing of going to the website and doing a dummy booking, it appears to be working with all the current changes. Please send me any feedback if there are more bugs.

Having read the discussions on the website changes I'm yet to decide to implement any further features to this script as there isn't any concensus on what exactly is bad.

What flight was that where RJ wet-leased a SA plane and crew?

IIRC RJ were the only commercial operator to BGW in the years after the war. It wasn't exactly a normal flight however, their government(?) didn't want any Jordanians on it so was all leased out with some unmarked odd equipment and somewhat of a mercenary crew (well paid at least!). Those spiral landings under the cover of darkness!... but no doubt a cash cow for RJ with the defence contractors.

Of course the important thing is that yes the flights did earn status credits and status got you lounge access. So it was preferable to some other things *cough* JQ *cough* (that was my attempt to keep this on topic)

Great, working well here.... shame a simple script cant bring back the ASA booking capability to the website, or even show the booking buckets indicating their availability...

Nice Script all the same Joshua, thanks for the update...

I had looked at adding the fare bucket next to the price, will have to see what the new site is like though. Should still be possible but it's overly complex when they could implement it on their end with such ease. But I understand why they're keeping it as clean as clear as possible (conspiracy theories aside about X/U/P bucket ASA/ASR/marginals!). If you compare to airlines that use a vanilla Amadeus package - go take a look at RJ for instance - you appreciate how far it has come.

There were a few other things that looked worth tinkering with but all in good time.
