It seems to be a growing trend in fast food eateries to rarely be able to find a clean table to sit at. We had a 7 hour layover earlier this month and spent most of it in the Qantas Club in Sydney. Only once did I notice any staff member wiping or brushing crumbs off the tables after the plates were collected. It was our first visit to the lounge but we were expecting a higher level of cleanliness.

Did you bring it up with anyone in the lounge? Perhaps ask to speak to the manager to bring it to their attention?

I usually find it pretty good, if I'm there for an hour a staff member comes around 2 or 3 times to collect empties and wipe the table.

The bit that annoys me is offerings not the attentiviness of the staff to cleaning.

If you think that's bad, have a look at this...
