If they are the QF complimentary guest passes then only valid at QF lounges when on a QF/JQ flight.

OK thanks - these are QF flights but I believe the lounge in JFK is a BA lounge used as a QP similarly at the transit at LAX. Again the lounge pretends to be a QP so was not sure if that impacted it.

OK - follow up. My wife's friend was upgraded to J due to "connections" but then did not have time to use the lounge :shock:

So the passes sent to me were not in the end used - however another friend is not flying HEL-ASIA-SYD on AY then QF. She and riend ate flying through SIN/BKK/HKG (they were not sure which) and have a 9 hour transit.

Given all of the lounge there are either QF/BA or QF I assume they can use the passes there - is that correct?

Also with a 9 hour transit can they use the pass to go in and out of the lounge if they want to go shopping?

Should not be an issue with lounge access using the complimentary QF passes. With SIN and moreso BKK they need to pay particular attention to the opening and closing times of the QF/BA lounges.

Also with a 9 hour transit can they use the pass to go in and out of the lounge if they want to go shopping?

I do not see this as a issue either although their complimentary QC pass will more than likely be taken off then on entry. When exiting the lounge for shopping just need to inform lounge reception that they are going out for a stretch and will be back shortly.

I think these are accurate Fly - The Qantas Club - Lounge Locations - Asia

Note that they are the hours for the J lounges. the F lounges have different hours (often much shorter)

From my limited experience I have found the QF/BA J lounge in SIN is sometimes closed around noon. As I was departing around 1:00pm I don't know if it was only closed a short time for cleaning or closed until the afternoon. Note no food, other than nibblies, in QF/BA J lounge around noon either.

The QF/BA F lounge does not open until after 3 pm....
