Qantas Club Lounge Going Downhill

Hi guys,

I discovered this site today and reckon its a beauty.

As a QF Platinum member, I am slowly losing confidence in their ability to offer a quality product

Is it just me, or are the domestic lounges starting to resemble bus terminals?

1) Over crowded
2) Noisy
3) Bad food selection, especially for breakfast
4) Always out of food
5) Queue for the coffee man too long
6) Not enough seats
7) Smelly toilets

What do you think?

3) i like breafast there its adequate, after that pretty poor

5) thats new ( added service) and its just as bad outside of the club so?

haven't you noticed this since Ansett went broke? Surely you didn't wake up today and notice this!!

So are you going to change to Jetstar, Virgin blue or Tiger> or like the ad says you like yr paper & coffee in the morning and yr beer at night?

Agree Totally! Couldn't agree more.

Pretty much given up on Qantas as service sucks everywhere. If you think what Qantas Club has to offer is going down. Try and Overseas flight. Especially the Syd to LAX or SFO route!

now you're talking ... QP is fine. i find that many WP's are fairly precious about their 'entitlements' ...

Three whole minutes? What kind of service is that? You need to get yourself into the F lounge mate - sooner rather than later

Why doesn't Qantas just spend more money on the lounges?

Also - seating problems could be helped by not having such large groups of seats. You always end up with some weirdo sitting there and nobody wanting to sit near him, and instead prefer to stand.

More seats for solos / couples would help I think.

I much prefer the Terraces lounges to the QP - 24 hour alcohol, and self service. What's more, you can't pay to join - so they are not as crowded.

Admirals Lounges are a joke - the club at IAD is smaller than the QP at DRW, which for the capital of the US is a joke.

There was a survey a while ago that indicated that WP's (Platinums) may end up in a separate lounge eventually, but nothing seems to have happened with that yet.

Just read on Qantas website that mid 2008 a seperate lounge will be available for business pax and Plat FF.
