hi Guys

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask. Am going to call Qantas, but thought i would ask here any way.

Look at traveling internationally with another couple. We have Qantas club they don't.
Is it possible for me to purchase once off tickets as a member for them for this trip
to get into the club. Other wise as you can imagine you feel like you have to hang out side with them haha.

Other wise I would assume if i purchase a guest card for say my wife. Would each of our memberships then allow a second guest ?
or it doesn't work like that ?

thanks hope that made sense .

Tim

The Qantas Club thread on the Qantas website is your best bet for answers to these questions.
You will get definitive advice.

P.S. It is even worse when you travel J and they are in Y and you feel obliged to sit outside on the hard chairs!!

haha i know that's what I am afraid of :p We will probably end up going business. And you feel like you have to sit out with them waiting to board. But it's waste of club membership not to use it.
So I want to buy them pass's to get in to club at least.

Qantas club thread on their website ? Does Qantas website have a forum ?

Yeah mate, I have the paid membership and My wife would be my guest.

So i was hoping I could purchase vouchers or pass's for another couple to get in on the trip we are all taking together.

One guest pass doesn't confer rights in its own right, so you'd need to buy two annual passes for a total of $700, I think. Which is probably overkill. But if you "will probably end up going business", that changes the equation, no?

Yes, if we don't do business them she will just enter as my guest, If we do go business then it wont matter as either way she gets in,

but this doesn't help my other two guests. Maybe closer to the time ill keep an eye out for people getting rid of pass's and see what pops up.

Ill give Qantas a call tomorrow and see what they have to say about options.

But if you travel internationally in Business, I think you then get a guest each...

Eligible if connecting to or from a Qantas or Emirates international flight on the same day.
Qantas customers can bring one guest.

oh got you.. right , That does change everything.
And one last question on that basis. Would there bea difference in that option.
If the business is bought as a cash/ paid for business tickets or if it was a points purchased business tickets.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

No, cash (revenue) tickets and award tickets give you the same guesting rights.

Assuming that Qantas Club was going to gain you access, I am assuming that you are intending flying on QF codes, and accessing actual Qantas Club lounges, then the AA 30 day pass may be of interest.
