I've got to agree about the lounges. The F lounge is a disappointment - busy, limited food choice and distinctly non-premium wines. I much prefer the SIA J lounge with its really good hot buffet (at least 6 choices of local/international hot dishes) and more comfortable ambience.

I do remember the good old days of the SIA F lounge in the 90's with Krug seemingly on tap and access on a cheap F ticket to KL.....

Just became a QC member and wanted to know, if your flying with someone who is not a QC member can tney check in with you at the QC check in counters?

Definately. Have done it a few times. If your lucky, the guest might also land an upgrade to better seats.

FYI - There are 2 dedicated check in desk for Premium Economy & QC Members at Singapore. Just used it 90 minutes ago! Its at Section 2 (QF,BA) go to Check in #5 and they are the 2nd & 3rd desks in - right next to First Class check In. All up it took me 3 minutes to check in (arrived 2 1/2 hours early) and currently savouring the QClub atmosphere - despite its slow internet speeds. Food and grog choice isn;t too bad either compared to Brisbane!

In SIN, note that the Y+ and QP counters are not opened until a little after 5pm SIN local time. Before that, these counters also serve Y pax. After 5pm-ish, the Y counters shift to row 6. Also note that there are no F counters here - they use the premium check-in area.
