Qantas Club Bar Opening time - 12 in Perth

Passed through the (rather squishy) lounge in Perth today, and the bar is back to opening at 12. Not sure if this is true of other lounges, but I would imagine so.

Well 1200 equates to 1400 on the east coast so now they are only 20 years behind :!: :rolleyes:
 
Interesting. Perhaps Qantas has had numerous complaints about changing the opening times of the bar.

Or they have decided to go back to the old time to compete with the lounge for the dayglo orange business.
 
Cairns is opening at noon too now and that makes the early afternoon flights even more pleasant. :D

So.... is the bar open at 12 noon again in th QP or not???
I have not flown for nearly 2 weeks.... I'd like to hear from someone who has flown this week.

Yes. I am in BNE Qantas Lounge right now and can see the sign behind the bar for opening time of 12:00 noon. It was implemented last Wednesday (~4 days ago).
 
This must be recent as I was in PER QP 23 April and the sign said open 2pm. As my flight was boarding at 2.10pm I only had time for 2 beers before getting on board.

I do hope it has changed as I am there next Tuesday and it would be nive to have a drink before flying out at 1pm.

I feel you need a little retraining in QP etiquette here!! What on earth were you doing for the other 8 minutes;)
 
If the QP is now opening the bar at 12, is the J lounge opening a little earlier too? Maybe 11 for them?
 
Wonder if QF are already feeling some pressure now DJ's new boss is there and making some changes. QF getting everyone locked in!
 
I also noticed last Thursday that the PER QP bar now opens at midday. My flight departed 12:10, and didn't get a chance to have a beer. About time they changed it. Seems like the renovations at the PER QP are well underway now. The PER CL Lounge is also getting some sort of make over, because that area was all barricaded off. I didn't get a chance to see the "stages of project" on the wall. But, l think that once the reno's are complete, it will look pretty nice.
