Nice. Makes Y awards a little less unattractive.

I would need a discount on J or F awards for a discount on awards to be useful to me but then there's more than enough demand for those awards already.

I noticed the "fly by" date is out to 30 June 2018, so I booked 2 QF flights in early June 2018.

Qantas do allow bids for upgrades on award flights, but the QFF points they charge are very high (see: https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/memberSpecials/classic-upgrade-reward)
