Qantas Chauffeur Service

Hi

I seem to be having issues booking a chauffeur booking for a QF2 flight (London to Singapore) and QF9 (Perth to London). The chauffeur booking via the bookings page comes up with a message to contact the Qantas customer service team. I contacted Qantas and after 20 minutes they said it's not entitled as they contacted the chauffeur companies, I contacted the chauffeur companies directly myself and they said they regularly pick up people using the Perth route on these flights. Whether these flights are available for chauffeur booking seems confusing (Chauffeur drive terms and conditions | Qantas AU) as the flight number matches but the journey is part of the route. My question is, has any of the Perth based business class passengers been able to get chauffeurs on these routes?

Thanks

Darren

I flew QF09 PER>LHR and QF02 LHR>SIN/QF72 SIN>PER in December/January this year and had no problems booking chauffeur vehicles in Perth or London.

All were booked from my Qantas FF login. Service was brilliant at both ends, on time or ready waiting for us on arrival, top drivers. Audi SUV's in Perth and Mercedes-Benz S Class in London.

I sure hope they haven't taken that away. Not worried about Perth to much but after a 17 hour flight it's real nice to have a big black S Class whisk you to your hotel in central London!

Thanks for the feedback Tallfont. Totally agree about the limo service from London. I'm thinking it's a system error from the Qantas site. I'll follow up with them. Cheers.

QF deliver this service appallingly, every time it's a hassle, no call, left wondering if someone will turn up, multi cars turn up, etc, etc. Appears to be an engineered outcome - people will get the $hits and don't bother.

Thanks for the welcome RooFlyer.

The saga continues. After two complaint emails - zero response. It also looks like they have now removed Singapore from the terms and conditions of Chauffeur service for the Singapore route Chauffeur drive terms and conditions | Qantas AU

The customer service is really appalling. My experience with the customer service so far has been :

- Told it was too early to book chauffeur (which is untrue)
- Told it was a system error which would be resolved (it never was resolved)
- Told the flights are not entitled (yet the chauffeur companies said they regularly pick up this route) and at that point in time Singapore was listed.

For me, Qantas has the best frequent flyer program, but unfortunately, the customer service is either epic waits by phone, a standard template response, or no response. They either need more staff to support increases in demand, or they will lose customers no matter how good of a flyer program.

Hi, I’m in London, depart qf2 4/11/19. Booked the service, all details are showing on page with meal selection. My query is does company contact you. From comments above, service appears haphazard. Comments in the booking said to phone 131313 48 hours prior to collection. Isn’t that the phone number wait hours for? TIA

Yes, they did for me. I had my Australian mobile on roaming and they called that number. I think they called a day or two before our flight.
They were very good and asked how much luggage we had (we had a lot - big shopping!) so organised an E Class Estate to get us from central London to LHR.

Thanks for your feedback Parsonstrish. Out of interest, did you book your London - Singapore chauffeur before March 2019? This is now the magic date that I've been told the changes happened. My latest feedback from what was, at last, a decent customer service team member, was that this is the magic date when the service is no longer available from London or Singapore. Pretty much "Computer says No" even if a possible system issue. It still doesn't explain why I can't book it for London to Perth, but hey ho. The really frustrating thing is no one from the customer care side seems to take ownership of resolving issues. Sorry for ranting as I've been impressed with the feedback and discussions on this forum. Going forward I think Qantas should just redirect their customer service directly to this forum for better service :) One reason I choose Qantas is to support Australian companies, but at some point you go sod it lets go with Emirates or Singapore airline.

Effective 1 March 2019, Qantas' complimentary Chauffeur Drive service is no longer offered on Qantas operated flights in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Singapore, and the complimentary mileage band for London is amended from 70 miles to 50 miles.

Thanks, Parsonstrish. Though it is not from Qantas, this Qantas trims chauffeur drive service on London flights seems to indicate the London service to the airport should exist. We don't actually need the Singapore side, we actually land at Perth (and happy to make our own way back from there).

The article states "The Chauffeur Drive shake-up also axes the chauffeur service at Singapore and New Zealand for Qantas passengers jetting to those countries from London.

While they'll still be eligible for Chauffeur Drive to and from Heathrow, there won't be a car waiting at the other end of the journey unless they have booked it themselves."

The flight's arent until January 2020, but I know how these things work. If it's not booked in beforehand and Qantas changes the rules again, we won't be eligible as it wasn't an existing booking.

Hi, 48 hours until flight 4/11 lhr-Syd, I put in request for chauffeur pick up to Heathrow. I’ve not heard anything as yet. Checking what international code I need to put before mobile. Is it 0061 9 number mobile or 061 9 number mobile. I read I need extra 0 at front for uk exit. TIA, trish

If you’re looking at pick up from Heathrow this is the actual chauffeur company number ‭+44 20 8326 7600‬. They would probably be better to contact than Qantas at this point in time. Unfortunately I don’t know the Sydney chauffeur company. Number wise I think it’s usually 00619 or +619. Good luck.
