Here's new one I think. I am travelling with my 16 year old son on Monday, MEL to ADL and ADL to KGC. These are separate bookings. I linked complimentary lounge passes for each of us for the second flight as we have nearly 2 hours in Adelaide and will want some breakfast.
I logged in to his account today and noticed that his lounge pass is now linked to the flight from MEL. Mine is unchanged. I have the emails for each booking printed out and I definitely booked both for the ADL lounge and I didn't change anything. Now the ADL lounge says you can't link a pass to it (if I had one to spare).
Should I try sort this out with Qantas or just turn up on the day? Why would Qantas do this and with notification?

I suspect they treat the Qantas Club lounge pass voucher as having the lowest access rights to the lounge. And as the ADL business class lounge is currently having to cope with Business Class clients, High Status clients as well as Qantas Club members, it is getting overcrowded at certain times, so they are turning lower ranking clients away.

Absolutely, but moving the booking to another flight with no notification is garbage. It probably doesn't help that we are on separate bookings which I can't do anything about now, or that he is 16. We will be turning up regardless.

To deal with the overflow, they are opening the back passage doors so the overflow can sit in the QC…

I’m pretty sure the QF Club was open last week when I went through ADL. I was in the J lounge.
