Am I missing something here :?:

I made a deposit was in $A and it was meant to be loaded in GBP but it only shows up in $A. Shouldn't it show up as the amount of GBP that was in the transaction :?:

The receipt says to load in GBP.
Is GBP set as your default currency?

Did you load via qantascash.com or through your bank?
OK I get it now.

Load a default currency (current set to AUD) directly from your bank account using your unique Bank Transfer or BPAY details.

For foreign currencies, exchange rate will be calculated at the 'Rate of the day' once funds are received.

That being the case why do they give out a receipt as being in the currency selected. It actually worked for me as the exchange has moved i my favour.

No idea but yeah, if you want to load in a currency other than your default currency (and lock in the exchange rate at the time of the load) you need to load via qantascash.com. Otherwise loading through your bank will result in funds being deposited in your default currency.

I'm not sure if that affects the bonus points you were presumably trying to get ;)

Re: QCC offline for a few hours 10 Jul: "better reloading experience" is the reason..

I use HSBC. Perhaps compounded by the fact I need to use a security device, but tried a few times...

Ive wasted over 30 minutes trying to transfer funds from HSBC to you using BSB 880-116
the problem may well be with HSBC does not recognizing your BSB ,
But. You should sort it out and not tell me to contact the HSBC bank!
that' your job and i would have thought Qantas had more Leverage than I

If HSBc have bit updated their payments clearing system that's no ones fault but HSBC, 880-116 is a valid BSB and in the system properly.

The Qantas Cash team have confirmed that they've discovered an issue with HSBC where the BSB number hasn't been loaded in to their systems.

This matter has been escalated with HSBC who hope to have it fixed as soon as possible. All other banks and credit unions are available.

Apologies for any inconvenience in the interim.

It may explain my job's payroll system although I don't think they are with HSBC, investigating with Payroll tomorrow otherwise just loading the old fashion way ;)

Used the card recently on overseas trip, great concept but a problem developed with my PIN number and could not resolve it via email, had no choice but had to call Qantas, after spending 6 minutes on phone working my way through the various numbers, prompts etc made contact with customer service and the problem was resolved, it was only when I returned to Australia that I discovered the Telstra call cost $45. A quicker way to access customer service for card issues would be appreciated

Very annoying - and expensive. That's why I take three credit cards (one includes a debit card) overseas. If one carcs it just switch to another. I also keep a small amount on Skype for calls to Australia from overseas. A Skype call like that would cost around $2.

Finally got this card activated after a bit of a mess around with the chap at the post office not accepting the fact my second middle name from my passport was not on the ID verification form (the website wouldn't allow me to add it).

After phoning the helpline they advised me to add the middle names in with dashes as spaces

Post office? My card arrived in the mail and I activated it on-line. It doesn't even my first name on it...just the initial.

Transferred money yesterday 1.45pm. Credited today 5pm...not bad. Never had any problems with the card....(a little perplexed at some of the responses here). Maybe Im lucky

Loaded 2:53 Perth time yesterday, already on by 11am this morning. Not complaining.

When I complained to the QantasCash call centre about the difficulty of easily contacting them without going through endless options I was told that is the way QF wants it and there is no alternative, even if you are overseas. For whose benefit is the QantasCash call centre or for that matter QantasCash?
