Qantas Call Centre Long Wait Times

My understanding (from unofficial sources) is that there is a pool of priority phone numbers that airport staff give to passengers which rotates every few weeks.

I will attempt to publish the currently active number(s) in this post:

1300 304 318
1300 659 161
1300 025 396
1300 659 116

1300 024 715
1300 025 390
1300 659 115
1300 659 134
1300 659 502

Have my partner trying to use a voucher for a multi city booking ex LAX , 3 times on hold in excess of 2.5hrs to the US number , then either the call drops out or hung up on. :(
Not sure if this will work but I did have success overseas trying to call Oz 1300 numbers by putting the +61 in front
🤷‍♀️worth a try. ??try someone in Australia to ring the priority number then add you to call??

Get some credit in to Google Voice and calling the relevant 1300 Australian number should work. Cost should be $0.01-0.03 cents per minute.

And if you are extremely lucky, you might get someone that’s had a bit of training and knows what they are talking about.

Just got off the phone from someone in South Africa that seemed to have no idea. Chasing a refund from QF for flights they canxd that haven’t processed in over 2 months. Was told that they ‘would let the next level know.’

I think you are right
…clearly I fluked it when I rang on Wed and got my solution plus money into account in less than 24hrs…and just got an email advising of suspicious activity on my Qantas pass (the actual refund !!!)
right hand - left hand ????
now I can avoid QF for a long time

As of today 31.12.2021, 09:55am, the working number was 1300 659 134.

Thanks, used that number last night and from hold, to cancel to hang up was a total of 7 mins at about 2230.
The on hold music is not nearly as annoying as the normal wait for hours 'music'. Didn't get to state my member number till the agent answered.

My friend just used the above mentioned 1300 number, got straight through after giving up with a 3hr wait and counting for some idiot you wouldnt feed in south africa

Qantas penny pinching again on training their people adequately (just like their rusty pilots according to the SMH article today), hope its customers remember this

Ex-customers?

Not sure some undertrained and overworked call center employee on the other side of the planet deserves all the flak to be honest.
Agree. Amazing how the Australian ‘national carrier ‘can continue to get away with it. Shame they closed their Australian & NZ call centres. Nor did they bother or take the opportunity to retrain any retrenched or furloughed staff.

Definitely one of the most useful WP perks currently is being answered within minutes of entering my membership number. I thought my flight to BNE in two weeks had been cancelled as my seat allocation went to aisle/window, and on the booking site the date showed N/A! Evidently it should have shown “sold out”.

There are still some Oz call centres in operation.

As a WP, I had a 7 minute wait earlier this week before being answered by a knowledgeable agent in Tasmania.

While waiting the result of an award set to be release request we had a chat. (They grew up in the area I live.) They also informed me they were being geared up to WFH in the coming weeks due to expected COVID expansion in the Apple Isle.

I called 131313 last night (WP calling FROM Tasmania) and also had a sub 10 minute wait time, would guess at Philippines for call centre, knowledgable, even though what I wanted apparently isn't possible: Mixed class itinerary.

Shouldn't be Manila unless it's a frequent flyer account enquiry.
Reservations are not there.
