I book all my travel through QBT and it works pretty well up until I did a combined booking JQ to HBA and QF back to SYD a couple of weeks ago. It quoted the usual price for a JQ Plus Bundle down to HBA on JQ721 and so I assumed that it was just that, but it wasn't until I completed the booking that I noticed it was a Starter fare.

I called QBT but they weren't able to help and transferred ne to JQ who sent me back to QF. Still no luck so I called WP line but they couldn't help either. Said that the best bet was getting JQ to reissue the ticket. Called JQ and they said that the new ticket with $22 Plus Bundle would be 3 times the cost, nearly $380!! So I gave up. My fault, I should have reviewed the tickets before booking.

The flight is tomorrow and I went to book in online JQ, but no luck. Booking not found. Just got off the phone after 30 minutes and I will have to line up in SYD tomorrow and go to the manual desk, not even self-service terminal. What happens is that JQ assign their own booking reference and because I booked it under my QBT account it will never show up under my JQ account. What a debacle.

I've kept Qantas Customer Care up to date with my progress and suggested a few improvements but the lesson here is never combine QBT on QF with another carrier.

Thanks Markis, I tried that but the JQ flight still won't allow check-in. No button shows but they are there for the QF legs.
