Qantas Business Lounge - sneaky extra guest?

Hi folks,

I'm travelling to Adelaide tomorrow morning from SYD with a few mates (boys weekend! Yay!) anyhow, I'm a QF Plat and my 4 friends are NB, SG and no status at all.

I know the rules are only 2 guests in the J lounge, has anyone had any luck squeezing through another one or two?

I don't think I'd feel quite right going up there while my mates are stuck at the gate.

If I upgraded one of them to J class then would they also get two guests?

Why not just go to the QP if one of them is SG. Given its four friends, it's hardly a case of one extra!

As a Platinum you will be able to get two people in.

Upgrade another one to Business (I'd suggest the SG) and that friend will be able to guest as well.

By my count that makes 4 of you with access

What time are you flying suparockin? I'm on QF735 from SYD to ADL tomorrow (21MAR14) and would be happy to assist with guesting your extra mate in to the J lounge if you'd like? I'll be at SYD from about 6am if that helps at all.

If you go to the QP you as a Plat can take 2 guests & your SG mate can guest 1 so all 5 can legitimately get QF Club lounge access without leaving anyone out in the cold.

Thanks for the replies, just checked and the SG has slipped to NB - bugger!

I'll be at the airport from around 8am (flight is at 10am) - if anyone can help guest twof of my mates that would be brilliant just send me a PM!

I know it is too late now but in a place like SYD you can easily guest 2 into the Qantas lounge and 2 into the business lounge so no one needs to stay out in the terminal.
