Qantas Business Fare Classes

Just wondering if anyone can elaborate on the various QF Business class fares. I regularly travel PER>BNE>POM return and book Business Flex fares on the QF website.

Sometimes as would be expected I have to change these flights due to unexpected events. Occasionally I get a refund, quite often I have to pay more (between $1.50 to around $250!).
I honestly would have thought that a Business Flex flight would be just that - flexible and changeable without cost!

All I really want to do is book a flight that is fully flexible and can be changed without cost. It is a hassle having to rebill the client whenever I change a flight! Someone said that you can't actually book the full "J" flexible fare on the QF website. Any thoughts?

For International flights, fully Flexible Business is class J and C, there is no way to book J on the website if C is available, so if the flight onty has J seats left and you booked in C you would have to pay the fare difference. A TA could book you in J.

Depending on the fare rules, it is also possible that if you change your flights before the first segment is flown, the itinerary will be repriced at current price, not historical fare price when originally booked.
