Quick question if I may.

I recently flew BKK-SYD on QF (Finnair) and found that as the Qantas lounges in BKK are closed, that I was able to use the Air France lounge which was quite nice.
Even though I was only flying economy, Gold FF got me in.

My wife returns the same way this week, but she is only a Bronze FF so doen't get lounge access.

I note that if flying with Air France, a lounge pass can be purchased.
I tried with a QF booking ref and it didn't work of course.

Any thoughts / experiences on how I might purchase an Air France lounge pass?
Handy as it's near the QF gates.

Or are any of the other lounges like Miracle worth buying a pass for?
Last time I looked they didn't look that great.

Any advice appreciated.

Otherwise she'll spend 2 hours duty free shopping and cost me a fortune  ;);)

Qantas hasn't had a lounge at BKK for over a decade.

In general I don't find buying access anywhere good value, particularly in a place like BKK where food is relatively cheap.

Always worth checking if AF will allow paid access i guess.

I must be having a grey moment. I thought I'd used a Qantas lounge in BKK in the last 3-4 years.
Small one, always really hot inside...........
Though I see you're quite right. Closed in 2015.
Must have been a "share" ?
Might have been Emirates?

I bought AF lounge access for mother travelling through BKK September last year. However, looks like it is no longer available unless flying AF or KL. BKK did a dummy spit on airline lounges allowing access to non-customers of that airline, including priority pass and paid means of access, so that is no longer seems to be allowed . Seems to be restricted to one of the many Miracle Lounges or Coral Lounges. Couldn't have that revenue stream going to foreign operators.

However, I'd recommend paying for access to the Omanair lounge which is fairly close to where the QF flights depart, and is comfortable, has decent food and self-pour champagne FWIW. It's my go-to PP lounge at BKK, no matter which airline I'm flying. How many others have self-pour champage? Only one I can think of, which Qantas elites could have access to but can't because of its location.
