Has anyone had any success in booking award seats on AF Sin to CDG either way recently, or is this not actually available even though the Points Calculator indicates it is? I have called once and got on to a nonplussed agent from some overseas location. Looking at end of August to early October.

Its possible, but SIN to CDG on AF is a reasonably busy route (SIN to any major port in Europe). Theres seats on Oct 18 for example.

August is generally busy for Euro Summer, Sep has school holidays in it so its harder to book as well.

I got 2 reward seats in J CDG-HKG in July 2025 but booked them as soon as they came out in July 2024. So not sure what it's like these days. That flight was fantastic. Well worth it.

I have occasionally seen SIN>CDG in J but charges are reasonably high - I think it was about $900pp.

We booked BKK-CDG on AF but that was 11 months out for Sep this year

Can I ask which app or website people are using to find seats (other than long winded searches on QF)
Thanks

Does anyone have recent experience here? Trying to book CDG to HND but the space isn't showing up on Qantas whereas it is on all the other Air France partners - Delta, Virgin Atlantic etc and the call centre can't see it

Only JL it seems. https://flightrewardfinder.qantas.com/?pg=1&o=CDG&d=HND,NRT&st=direct

Having said that, AF awards are not limited to the partnership routes. I was looking at SCL-CDG and awards were showing up as were TATL flights. It might be a function of dynamic pricing, with AF only releasing deep discount to QF while Delta and VS have varying prices.

I’d also add that the carrier charges on AF J awards booked through QF are extortionate (almost EK bad) unless you’re looking at ex-MNL tickets. There were three AF awards from SIN-CDG on the day I wanted to travel with dad and his partner but the carrier charges booking JQ7 and AF257 were going to be ~$1170 (!), and dad didn’t want to do an unprotected connection through MNL. It appears that long haul AF J attracts a carrier charge of about $US700 per sector on QF.

Ended up plumping for JQ and BA instead as the carrier charges were ~$510. Yes, the Club World seats on BA’s A380 are dated and annoying and one more stop is not ideal, but the QR SIN lounge, lounge access for a shower in LHR (rather than depending on the early check-in gods to smile on me) and almost $2k extra cash in our pockets to spend on the holiday more than made up for it.

I suspect that is because it is not a route in the QF/AF partnership

I'd say that page is out of date because QF do codeshare on AF CDG to HND

To this point, I've seen CDG to PEK pop up in my searches as well so there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason as to what shows up and what doesn't

Appreciate the feedback on the fuel surcharges - just wanting to burn down my pile of QF points that seem to be harder and harder to redeem
