Hi All,

I thought this was discussed in the past, but haven't been able to find the thread.

I'm trying to book 2 tickets DXB-FRA using AA for one account, and QF for the other. When I do a search in AA, I can find 2 tix (though I don't have enough points for 2) for DXB-LHR(F)-FRA(J). However when I search QF I don't get any availability.

Anyone encountered this before? Tried to call QF but agent wasn't really helpful and said if I couldn't see it online, it wasn't available...

Thanks,

Luis

I have had no problems with QFF showing BA awards correctly before. Make sure you are searching as a multi-city is the main thing to check, eg DXB-LHR, then LHR-FRA. Other than that no further ideas.

On a similar note, I'm having issues getting QFF to show it's own flight QF23. Shows available in AA,CX & BA, BA even showing 3 seats, but won't come up at all on QFF.

Any pointers from anyone before I try giving them a ring?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

There have been reports of AA "phantom" availability for QF F awards - they show but aren't real.

If I can put the reservation on hold through AA - does that mean that it's actually there?

I haven't tried it yet, but might be a way to check whether it's real?

Yes ... being able to put a booking on hold indicates the seat is there.

If you can see P (or U) availability on a Qantas flight with expertflyer then First (or business) is generally bookable with AAdvantage.

Thanks for the replies. Don't suppose someone with EF access could check QF1/QF9 on the 28th of March?
