Frankly though reading the wording it seems clearly directed at customers - specifically Govt, Corporate.SME's etc.
And you know what QF can't win with some people IMHO.
I mean some people complain QF don't try to reach out and connect with their customers and all the usual complaints (many of which I agree with btw) now this effort, which, while kind of lame and very much sales spiel, at least is an effort.
i think the message they are trying to get across is that this guy has been with QF for a very long time, so has a lot of experience and I suppose it's supposed to make is feel more vlaued somehow because uber QF company man Igor has our backs.
Is it self serving? Yep, but if intended for customers it doesn't achieve too much in that regard.
I think it's the email equivalent of a bit of networking at an industy event or customer gathering.. pure and simple. Hey it's Igor and I've been with QF for ages and we've got all this exciting stuff going on and I'm excited about it and wanted to tell you (even though you already know about the dreamliner and all the rest).
It's fluff, but it's harmless.. and the implication is that for those corporate/Govt clients with issues well hey he's the guy to go to....
