Couldn't find another general thread for the Qantas app, but there's been some new features rolled out recently.

As shared on Linkedin:
There's something satisfying about reaching the point in a product's lifecycle where it moves beyond building the foundations and into a cycle of enhancement. That's where the Qantas App team is today: listening to customer feedback, identifying opportunities, and shipping improvements that make travel enjoyable and easy.

Here are a few that have just gone live:
1) Your linked 'Past Trips' can now be accessed under the Trips tab. Access 12 months of past flights. Full roll out to all users by end of today. If you don’t see it on your Trips tab yet, you will very soon. Lots more to come in this space.
2) First Class lounge menus can now be browsed in advance of your flight. Available on eligible flight bookings in the Flight Details section.
(mentioned yesterday at Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics)

3) Find out if your aircraft is wearing a special livery, including our Flying Art Series, Centenary, Pride, and oneworld liveries now all included under Onboard Experience.

Saw this post on LinkedIn too. Nearly commented on the post about per-hkg showing as a qf flight being funny seeing as they don’t fly it, and haven’t flown it for far longer than the last 1 year, which is what shows up in the new “past trips” section 🙄

One negative change with the latest enhancements is your BP disappears as soon as you land. It used to stay in the app for many hours after where I could use it for arrival access to a lounge if needed.

So have to remember to take a screen shot before take off or you won't have a BP to present to the lounge, don't know if the card will be sufficient as need proof of the flight.

I had this issue in Duty Free where they wanted to see my BP and it disappeared. Luckily knowing the flight number was enough.

That could be quite problematic when you land in countries where immigration need to see your boarding pass. India for example.

Apart from taking a screenshot of BP, I also add it to google wallet....need BP to access Qf lounge on arrival.

I just scan in with my card. Always get the green light (was told to do so by a lounge dragon when my boarding pass similarly disappeared).

Yep, I never use the app generated BP once I’ve added it to my wallet.

There’s all manner of reasons you want something persistent (as above, collecting DF, arrivals) but also missing points/SCs claims.

I've never actually been asked to show my BP for arrivals lounge access. Only used it a few times landing back in PER. I have it ready and just mentioned that I've arrived but they never scan or site the BP.

Whilst on the topic of IT, I'm shocked Q-Eat never made a return. Easy integration to the website and app then happier customers who get their guaranteed choice.

Use the complaints form everytime you don't get your preferred meal choice, and remind them Menu Select used to exist and solved this issue. The more noise we make, the more likely it is to return.

I presume you don't just walk in?

You've always just been able to get entry with your FF card, this links to your booking. Some don't bother to scan it.

Walk in and at the front desk just say I've just arrived on the flight from xx_X and they say welcome. My guess is scanning in on arrivals doesn't work perhaps and it's jut the honour system? No idea.

I only do it if I need to grab a coffee or the trans-con Y meal has been inedible and I want to grab some pizza or piece of fruit.

In MEL, scanning on arrivals does bring your travel up on the agent's screen, even when using another airline's BP.
