Passes arrived today with a July 2017 expiration date. My advice: insist, be annoyed (but polite) until they "escalate" and put the request through manually. Whatever they were doing before didn't work until someone said they'd just call Qantas up and order them. Then they arrived one week later.

Yes, that's what I did.

I called Amex 3 times already and also Qantas. Sent my second email earlier this week.

They said I will receive them in 20 business days so I hope they will arrive... :/

A few years ago when I had this card it took ~18 months to get the last lot of passes from memory. Lost count of the number of calls and promises the passes were on the way. Finally settled but I persevered.

Recent issue with HSBC not sending out $25 Coles gift card for some promotion. Called 3 times and each time promised the gift card on the way. Went to FOS and got apology from HSBC along with $25 Coles gift card and a $100 Myer gift card for stuffing me around.

Not going to hesitate where to complain next time. The financial institution will get first complaint then off to FOS if no resolution.

Seems like they're just giving these things out now... Both me and the missus were sent passes last week, despite neither of us making a direct Qantas purchase. Happy days.

Received mine on Friday, a good month after I had cancelled the card.
